CAP (Churches Assisting People) are collecting Peanut Butter , Rice, Canned Vegetables, Spaghetti Sauce and Pasta. Please leave your donations in the Missions Corner of the Commons.
Space for each week is limited! Enrollment Flyers are located at the Narthex,
Commons and Bell Tower Entrances. Also in the Church Office,
and on the Website/ www.fumcconway.org
Camp/Weekly sessions will include a variety of playful, fun and creative activities (both indoor and outdoor) such as arts and crafts, music, nature walks, parachute play, story-time, cooking, free play, imaginative games, projects (and more) that enhance the “weekly theme” allowing all children to connect to learning in a whole new way! The Missions Committee is again partnering with
New Song Mission to send Backpacks (formerly
Shoeboxes) directly to Haiti—to share with some of
the children our Haiti team has met and many others.
Now colleting Hygiene Items: Bar Soap,
Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Dental Floss, Hair Brush,
Hair Combs/Picks, Wash Cloths, Stick Deodorant, and Body
Powder (nothing liquid like shampoo, lotion or mouthwash).
Please leave your donations in the designated container in the
Mission Corner of the Commons!

Nursery Attendant: First Church is seeking a nursery attendant to care for our children 4 and under. Schedule is 9:00-12:00 every Sunday with occasional weekday duties. Attendant will play with the kids and keep them safe while their parents are attending services. Experience with young children required. Submit resume to: [email protected]

has begun. A five day program, hours: 8:30~11:30 a.m.

Christian sympathy is given to Harr iett Edwards and family on the death of her brother, Joseph Robert Hyer. Mr. Hyer passed away on Sunday, June 11 at his home in Reston, VA.
The United Methodist Men will be meeting on Monday,
June 26 in the Fellowship Hall. Great Food and Great
Fellowship! Chris Williams from Waccamaw Youth Center
will be the guest speaker. Bring a friend! First Church was awarded the “Spirit of the Community Award,” given Tuesday evening at the Downtown Alive Annual Meeting.
