Always disconnect any power sources connected to your vehiclebefore servicing fuses or electrical systems.

STEP 1Begin by opening the hood to gain access to the cowl panel.

See Figure 1

STEP 2Wipers will need to be removed before the cowl panel can be. Take note of the “park” location of the wipers before removal. Wiper removal is accomplished by using a flat pry-bar or screwdriver to flip out the locking arm at the windshield wiper pivot.

FIGURE 4STEP 4The outer edges of the cowl panel are held in by the clips shown below. These are removed by compressing the two tangs inward.

FIGURE 5STEP 5Once the cowl panel is removed, the top fender attachment bolt can now be accessed.

FIGURE 3STEP 3Cowl panel is removed by a series of clips and snaps. The forward edge of the panel is retained by a series of tabs that need to be pried forward to be released from the receiving holes.
