ORIENTATION DAY

Date : 1st July 2019 to 3rd July, 2019.

Time : 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Venue : HALL-1, near OBC Bank.

Orientation day is conducted for all the 1st year students, just before the academic year

starts, to get familiar with the college campus and various other facilities including

clubs, events, student bodies etc. The day started with a prayer song that is sung by the

Rhythms team to symbolically inaugurate the event. After the event got completed, the

closing ceremony was held to wish all the students good luck for the upcoming years in

college and was ended with a closing song that is sung Rhythms students.

Pragnya is a Technical fest conducted by IEEE SB GRIET every year. On the

second day of the fest, cultural programs take place. On 21st September 2019,

Rhythms team has organized cultural performances for all the students from 2

pm to 4 pm which included dance performances, live band performance, skits,

standup comedy and various other performances. It was an incredible event

where students from all the branches and years showcase their talent in various

fields.

the students in various fields other than

technical field.

NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:- 150

Pulse is a cultural fest that is organized in GRIET once in every two years. On 16th

March 2019, Rhythms conducted a Dance competition “Step It Up” at 10 am which

is an intra college competition where students from whole college can participate.

After the competition, at 12 pm another competition named “ Battle of Bands” was

organized by Rhythms which is an inter college competition. 5 colleges from

Hyderabad have participated in this competition. Later in the evening at 7 pm, there

were international artists who performed for the students until 10 pm. It was an

amazing event and the crowd was happy at the end of the day.

On the occasion of Dussehra, Bhathukamma festival is celebrated on 28th September

at 10 am by the Rhythms team in the college premises which included all the

teaching and non-teaching faculty dancing around the Bhathukammas. While this

festival was celebrated, there were many competitions held by the Rhythms team to

all the students like singing, rangoli, photography, paiting etc. At 1:00 pm we

Dandiya was organized in an open space for all the students with dandiya sticks and

music. It was a beautiful celebration of the festival where each student has enjoyed

and had lots of fun.
