8.3 Professor Abor Speaks on Good Corporate Governance Practices
Professor Joshua Yindenaba Abor, the Dean of University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), delivered a speech on Tuesday, 13th June, 2017, at the re-launch of the UGBS-Executive Development (UGBS-ED) under the theme: “Corporate Governance: A Pillar to Sustainable Growth and Development”, at the Graduate building of UGBS.
He noted that women provide certain expertise which their male counterparts may not provide. Women may provide other soft insights and angles to deliver solutions that will enhance good corporate governance. Speaking on Board Integrity, the Dean challenged corporate governors to hold the principles and practices

UGBS continues to enhance students’ experiences by improving existing infrastructure and developing new ones. In this regard, the school is embarking on a number of maintenance such as user-friendly walkways to make the Graduate Building accessible to physically challenged students.
In addition, other works are in place to make the graduate block on the main UGBS campus also user-friendly and accessible to the physically challenged.
The school, through internally generated funds, is beginning a One Hundred and Fifty (150) housing unit, UGBS business lodge to address the housing challenges of post-graduate students and for our customers who come in for modular programmes. To also enhance learning, research activities, short seminars, discussions and presentation, UGBS commissioned its undergraduate refurbished K. E. Adjei Library which received funding through its internally generated funds and support from Cal Bank on 23rd November 2016.
