Reasons to use SCF instruments- to improve financial performance in the supply chain (link to week 4) - As a way to mitigate supply chain risks (link to week 5)

• Each lecture is supported by a series of e-learning modules
- 18 modules with a total combined length of 9 hours
- designed in online portal based on technique of CrossKnowledge

- Max. duration of videos is 4 minutes
- Many different types of questions, not only MPC
• Via e-learning students can test their understanding of the theorythat is explained in lectures

Business simulation game with 4 functions: - Purchasing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain.- Every week students take decisions in their role as management team of a
manufacturing company - Type of decisions are aligned with theme of that particular week - Complexity increases as the weeks progress- Teachers will be trained for the delivery of TCC to effectively reflect upon
decisions take by the students in relation to theory, conceptual models andpractice
- Once a year student teams are invited to participate in the world wideGlobal Student Challenge with prize money

� The players have to take decisions to deal with the challenge of multidimensional uncertainty
�After each round the decisions are the input for the simulation. The effect on the company is calculated for a 6 month period

3. TCC and The Talent Connection

• The Talent Connection is a recruitment tool for companies, and a monitoring and evaluation tool for teachers:
- Students who play The Cool Connection create a profile in The Talent Connection
- The participants’ personal skills such as leadership, communication and team play are immediately exposed.
- Also teachers can see how their students score on assessments in the TCC

4. SCF Forum
• Growing number of experienced professionals in the banking and supplychain industry worldwide have been trained using The Cool Connection
• These professionals will be recruited to form a coaching community forthe student teams entering the global student competition
• The forum will be supported by an online community platform

■ At the end of the training professionals from banks and corporates will be requested to list their
profile in the online coaching forum
■ The list of coaches and their profiles will be visible to the students that are required to use TCC
in their course
■ At the start of the course a student team can select/invite a professional to coach
■ The coach is a fifth role in the simulation with only viewing rights
■ At the end of the course the student team gives marks for the coaching quality
■ These marks plus the student ranking in the course will become part of the profile of the
professional and is visible to the next student team who need to select a coach
