User Education Programme

User Education Programme (UEP) was successfully conducted by BPCL at the

P. K. Parija Auditorium on February 03, 2016. More than sixty users were partici-

pated including Faculty, Research Scholars and UG students in the UEP. All the

information about library resources, services and facilities were briefed followed

by a demo to all the users.

Sarawsati Pooja Celebration@BPCL

To worship the goddess of learning, wisdom, knowledge, fine arts,

refinement, science and technology. Vasant Panchami is treated by

celebrants as Saraswati's birthday. People worship Goddess Saras-

wati to attain enlightenment through knowledge and to rid them-

selves of lethargy, sluggishness and ig-

norance.

This year BPCL was celebrated Saras-

wati Puja on 12th Feb., at the ground floor. At last pra-

sad was distributed to all students and library staff pre-

sented at the puja.

Progress of recommendations of Annual Grand Book Fair-2015

Recommendation for books through Annual Grand Book Fair 2015 has been collected from the participating

vendors. After the reviewing process, 2635 nos. of titles (4198 volumes) have been selected for ordering.

Order has already been placed and books are started coming to BPCL. Below is the recommended books by

department wise.

Empanelment of Vendors for Supply of Books (Print) to BPCL

NIT Rourkela has invited open offer for "Empanelment of Vendors for the Supply of Books [Print]" on pre-

scribed Format from reputed vendors / distributors / library suppliers in India, to NIT Rourkela Library

(BPCL). Finalization of list of vendors are in process and updated soon.
