Career Literacy-CDC's

Currently, we dedicate almost no resources to Career Literacy: preparing students with the knowledge, skills and support they need to make an informed decision about a career, and the best pathways to pursue that career. In this session, participants will learn about different resources that are available to help students identify their work skills, strengths & values. Participants will also study different options available when assisting students recognize which occupations they are best suited for based on their

Concept-Based Planning and Teaching for K-5 (requires both sessions part 1 and 2, therefore please sign up for both sessions)

What is Concept Based Instruction? Concept-based instruction is driven by “big ideas” rather than subject-specific content. By leading students to consider the context in which they will use their understanding, concept-based learning brings “real world” meaning to content knowledge and skills. Students become critical thinkers which is essential to their ability to creatively solve problems in the 21st century.
