New Safe-T-Cover Enclosure options for North Carolina

Safe-T-Cover has created new enclosure models for the most popular backflow

preventers that are optimized to be the Best overall value.

All are manufactured from aluminum and will last for decades. They all have

oversized front access panels and a roof that hinges open and locks straight up

(90 degrees) for maximum access. All new models meet the ASSE 1060 standard.

Series 300/400 SNInsulated Enclosures

DescriptionThe SN series is developed as an enclosure thatmounts to a concrete pad, has a removable front door and the top hinges and locks to 90 degrees. These SN models ship in a flat box to minimize freight costs.

SpecificationsA freeze and vandal protective enclosure shall be installed over above ground plumbing systems. The enclosure shall be constructed of 5052-H32 marine grade aluminum with a minimum R-9 in the walls and roof. Cut board insulation shall be used to insure uniform insulation thickness. Sprayed insulation shall be reason for rejection. The enclosure shall havea fully insulated drain panel designed to remain closed except when the backflow prevention assembly isdischarging water. The drain panel shall be sized to accomodate the maximum discharge for backflow installations.The enclosure shall be mounted securely to a concrete pad and remain locked even if outside screws are removed.All mounting hardware shall be furnished. When heat is required, a UL or ETL listed heater shall be provided that has been independently certified to meetthe UL-2021 “Rain Test” for damp or wet conditions. The enclosure shall be certified to meet the most recent ASSEStandard 1060 (Class I or II). The insulated enclosure shall be a Safe-T-Cover SN or SNT Series
