Image monitoring and calibration during satellites life

11

• Constantly measure and monitor the image’s calibrat ion coefficients and parameter corrections– Geometry: focal plan, camera alignments, location bias, inter-band registration …– Radiometry: gain offsets & dark currents of detectors, absolute calibration per spectral band, Signal to Noise, FTM …

• Regular update of these parameters:– Mission center for those uploaded at satellite level:

– Radiometry: detectors equalization (OBDC)

– Geometry (location bias) : gyros, star trackers calibration

– Production centres (Main centre, DRS) for image pre-processing, which involves making radiometric and geometric adjustments to correct systematic errors, and fill reliable calibration values into metadata file

– GIPPs files (Ground Image Pre-Processing files)

• To regularly publish internally status on image per formances

• To improve the image performances
