is no longer just for Cub Scout Leaders
All Levels of Scouting Need Range Masters
BSA Range Master
Operation of BB, Archery, and Other Shooting Sports Ranges for Scouting activities and events require qualified, trained BSA Range Masters. This Training is offered at no cost; the certification is valid for two years. We only ask that you pledge support for Council, District, and/or Unit Shooting Programs. This could include activities as part of Camporees, Klondike Derbies, Recruiting Events, Cub Scout Day Camp, Cub Scout or Webelos Resident Camp, and Council-operated Family Camping Programs (including Year Round Camping at Hidden Valley, Tuckahoe, Camp Conewago, or Wizard Ranch)
Council Hosted BSA Range Master Training
is managed by the Council Shooting Sports Committee; it is conducted by National Camp School Trained Shooting Sports Directors. These trainings include Range Master experience, under the guidance of experienced instructors, on ranges set-up for major Cub Scout events.
