Family EmpowermentThe National Black Child Development Instituteunveiled its new Family Empowerment Programat the Congressional Black CaucusFoundation's Annual Legislative Conference inSeptember.

Based on the principle that parents andcaregivers want what's best for their children,the program honors the cultural and linguisticstrengths of families.

The Family Empowerment Program, which is trauma sensitive, culturally relevant andculturally responsive, was informed by by parents, experts and program facilitators acrossthe country. Read more.>
