With just seven weeks until the 2016 ARIA Awards Presented By Telstra, the AustralianRecording Industry Association (ARIA) today announced the nominees in all categories, with thewinners to be announced at The Star, Sydney on Wednesday, November 23, 2016.

The 30th Anniversary of the ARIA Awards provides an opportunity for ARIA and the musicindustry to celebrate its incredible history, amazing artists and moments that have captured thenation’s imagination.

This year, the ARIA stage will feature stellar live performances, unforgettable collaborations,special guest appearances and a very worthy induction of Crowded House into the ARIA Hall OfFame - the band having come full circle since receiving the very first ARIA Award everpresented for Best Video. ARIA is honoured that Crowded House founding member, NickSeymour has created the captivating commemorative artwork for 2016.

The 2015 ARIA Awards delivered increased ratings, was the #1 show for 16-39 year olds on thenight, and achieved the most social #ARIAs ever, generating 109 million Twitter impressionsaround the world.

ARIA Chairman and Chairman & CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia and New Zealand& President, Asia, Denis Handlin, AM said:

At today's ARIA Nominations Ceremony, ARIA Awards were presented to the recipients of threeARIA Artisan Award categories (Producer Of The Year, Engineer Of The Year and Best CoverArt) and four ARIA Fine Arts Awards categories (Best World Music Album, Best Jazz Album,Best Classical Album and Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show Album) and Best ComedyRelease at the Nominations Event – they became the first of many artists to be acknowledgedby their peers for their creative contributions over the last twelve months.

Highlights of the ceremony included Flume adding to his ARIA Award collection by winning allthree Artisan ARIA Awards for Producer Of The Year, Engineer Of The Year (with EricDubowsky) and Best Cover Art (Jonathan Zawada) for his #1 ARIA album, ‘Skin’. He is also inline for a remarkable eight ARIA Awards at the ARIAs on November 23, making him the mosthighly nominated artist of 2016. Flume announced via video message, that featured a cameofrom Best Cover Art designer, Jonathan Zawada,that he would be performing at the 30th AnnualARIA Awards.

It was also an exciting day for Flume's label-mates, Flight Facilities who won in the BestClassical Album category for ‘Flight Facilities - Live With The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’.Classically trained Grammy-award winning composer and violinist, Davide Rossi arranged andconducted the ARIA-Award winning album. This is the fifth time the Melbourne SymphonyOrchestra has received ARIA nominations in the Best Classical Album category and ARIAcongratulates them on winning the Best Classical Album ARIA Award today, 21 years since theywon their first ARIA for 'Simple Gifts' with Yvonne Kenny in 1995.

ARIA congratulates ABC Music whose artists were the proud recipients of the ARIA Awards inthe remaining Fine Arts and Comedy categories. Vince Jones and Paul Grabowsky (Best JazzAlbum), Josh Pyke (Best Original Soundtrack/Cast/Show Album), Nicky Bomba from MelbourneSka Orchestra (Best World Music Album) and Roy & HG (Best Comedy Release) were at theceremony to collect their ARIA awards and to celebrate their Award winning day.

ARIA Chief Executive Officer, Dan Rosen, added:
