Missionvale USA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for the poor and underprivileged of South Africa. This organization supports the efforts of the Missionvale Care Center in Port Elizabeth, South Africa to provide hope and a positive future through sustainable programs focused on education, nutrition, healthcare, skills development, and shelter.

An excerpt from the year-end 2016 thank you letter MVUSA received from Linda van Oudheusden, Missionvale Care Center Marketing Manager:

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, to every single donor who responded to the Missionvale USA plea. All of you have made some sacrifice in letting your hard earned contributions come all the way to the Southern tip of Africa, to reach a very precious community.

We give you our promise that the funding will be used wisely and will benefit the poorest of the poor in the areas they need it most. Your contributions will provide an education to children. It will feed families. And it will help to improve the healthcare conditions in a community deperatately in need.

We wish every blessing to you all and hope that you will feel God’s love and protection surrounding you as a constant companion in all the days ahead of you.

Dear Friends of Missionvale,

2017 kicks off the fifth year of operations for Missionvale USA. Each year, we have made strides forward in our interactions with you, with the amount of money raised, and most importantly, in the benefits Missionvale Care Center and the people they serve receive from your generosity.

We believe that as we, with the help from each of you, fulfill our mission, we express the highest values of who we are. One of those values is the faith that giving to people in need is an investment in making the world a better place for us all.

As we continue to grow as an organization, we want you to know that your investment is managed with the highest of integrity and love.

It is important to us that you have the utmost confidence that your contribution to Missionvale USA is being used as you intended it to be. Therefore, in this year’s annual report, we have been as transparent as possible about our income and expenses.

Missionvale USA is proud to share the fact that in 2016, 98.4% of all contributions were sent directly to the Care Center to be used for nutrition, education and healthcare. The only reason it is not 100% is due to the fees PayPal requires (2.2%) for processing a contribution made with a credit card online through our website.

Not only is everyone on our Board of Directors serving voluntarily, but each Board member chips in personal contributions to cover Missionvale USA’s operating costs.

This operating model ensures that the Care Center receives the maximum benefit from your donation. And in 2016, we were able to send the Care Center 1.5x more money than we have been able to in the previous three years combined!
