EEDA Funding• Career Specialists: – For 15-16, each district will receive an additional

$4,797 per FTE; superintendents have been notified.– Funds must be used for salaries and benefits for school

counselors and/or career specialists; these funds may not be flexed or used for any other purpose.

• Career Development Supplies and Professional Development– Each district will receive funds for all schools that

serve students in grades 6-12; amount is based on student enrollment.

EEDA Funding• Preparing College- and Career-Ready

Graduates Competitive Grants– Assist elementary, middle, and/or high schools

students in meeting the Profile of the S. C Graduate– One award per district; maximum $150,000 for

three years– Technical assistance webinar Friday, September 25,

IGP SUCCESS PLANNER

All districts should be on PowerSchool version V2.0.1.

The current version can be located at the bottom of any student’s IGP screen.

Enhanced reports to show– either all currently enrolled students or the current

selection of students (by cluster, major, etc.),– primary IGPs from previous year, and – students with more than one IGP for the selected year.

• Added “Undecided” as an option for postsecondary plan.

• Enabled function that allows courses from the IGP Wizard to be used to create course requests in PowerScheduler.

2015-2016 Important DatesDEADLINES INFORMATION REQUIRED

September 25, 2015 Names, email addresses, and schools served of guidance personnel (school counselors and/or career specialists) fully or partially paid with EEDA Career Specialists funds submitted by district Finance Officer or EEDA Coordinator .

October 9, 2015 Employment Verification Form (EVF) to be completed online by career specialists identified by district Finance Officer or EEDA Coordinator. Individuals will receive access to the online form after their names have been submitted .

January 8, 2016 Career Specialist Accountability Report for August –December 2015. Link to access the report will be sent to individuals from whom EVFs have been received.

May 27, 2016 Complete IGPs (locked and made primary) for all students in grades 8–12.

June 3, 2016 Career Specialist Accountability Report for January–May 2016
