MIKE’S THOUGHTSGod told Abraham he was blessed to be a blessing. We feel the same way at GNPI when we see everything God has done through our supporters and global ministry partners. He has blessed the work of their hands in order to bless others.

For example, The Global Gospel app has been launched and is available for Android phones. We are marching towards completion of all 25 major language versions of The Global Gospel (TGG). Sections of these TGG stories are being shared in various languages through YouVersion. Some of our regional centers are developing their own apps with TGG as a source of content in Russian, Hindi, Swahili, and Spanish.

Progress in The Global Gospel is just one of several areas where we’re forging ahead. We hope you are blessed by these stories from a few of our regional centers. To learn more about these articles and the unending joy we have in Christ, you can visit gnpi.org/newsletter. If the Lord leads you to contribute towards the projects mentioned in this newsletter, please do so at gnpi.org/donate or contact us at [email protected].

Have a great Thanksgiving and Christmas, and we look forward to sharing more of what God is doing through the ministry of GNPI in 2016.

Blessings,

In the midst of continued uncertainty, GNPI-Ukraine reports on four areas of exciting progress. In addition to starting an online apologetics club, Reliable Foundations, the center has created a mobile app: Questions and Answers: The Christian Apologist’s Mobile Companion available for free at the Google Play Store. These two projects are reaching people across national borders, regional conflicts, and military front lines.

Furthermore, 30 key European leaders completed the first course in a new Doctor of Ministry training program for the former Soviet Union. Finally, the center recently presented the first Ukrainian Christian science textbooks at the largest book fair in the region.

Our goal to produce The Global Gospel in the world’s top 25 languages is within reach. Funding is committed for each language, and they are either completed or in some stage of production. We praise God for His provision to make the stories of Christ available throughout the world.

The journey to complete the top 25 languages has not been without challenges. For instance, after waiting nearly two years, we finally have permission to use the Spanish Scripture version featured in the production. Now it’s time to open the floodgates! Churches or individuals ministering to immigrant communities may be blessed by the different languages available from this project. Contact us at [email protected] if you know ministries who could benefit from this amazing tool.

The impact of the series continues to grow. GNPI is working to make some of The Global Gospel stories from the Sermon on the Mount available in discipleship plans on the world’s most popular Bible app, YouVersion. After being available for five months, the Teachings of Jesus plan in Russian has

been completed by nearly 1,500 people. This same plan was just released in Hindi. We’re also working on Christmas plans in Russian, Hindi, and Spanish from The Global Gospel, which will soon be available.

GNPI is grateful to the hundreds of volunteers and donors who have joined together in this incredible opportunity to make the Gospel available to 3.6 billion people who speak these languages around the world.

On September 12 the staff at GNPI-Kenya celebrated the 20th anniversary of their center. The Lord gave GNPI founder Ziden Nutt and seven generous doctors in Indiana a vision for this media center. The men anticipated a day when HIV/AIDS would be controlled and evangelists would have teaching lessons in African languages. They pictured a day when culturally relevant media would be distributed through Solar Kits in rural areas without electricity and broadcast throughout the nation on television. They were convinced Africa would change if people heard the Good News.

Two decades later their dream for GNPI-Kenya is becoming a reality. Staffed completely by Africans, the center has produced more than 100 music videos for high school students accompanied by study guides. They’ve produced movies about the sanctity of life to help Kenya overcome the temptation to legalize abortion. Another movie concerning spousal abuse has strengthened families. More than 20 short films in Swahili have provided counsel and guidance on everyday issues affecting followers of Christ in Kenya and beyond.

While we could share other comments, the thoughts of GNPI Board Member Robb Good sum it up. “I’m so impressed by what I see happening here,” Robb said. “Continue the hard work . . . because you can see the fruit.”

The icing on the cake for the day was rain that held off until after the celebration. Kenyans consider it a great blessing from God to receive rain in the dry season. The rain didn’t interfere with the program, but it came at the end as God’s benediction.

“Your dollars are making a difference. Your prayers are making an impact as these foot soldiers in technology produce positive results in Nairobi, in Kenya, and around the world.” Mike Schrage

The title sounds like the latest reality TV show. The true reality is GNPI’s Project Nomad teams are using newfound knowledge to expand God’s Kingdom.

Recent changes to the Project Nomad training curriculum have allowed GNPI to define four levels of training that enable believers worldwide to learn cutting-edge video production techniques. Upon successful completion of Nomad Level I Training, each trainee will be designated as a multimedia apprentice. The result is the ability to share biblical teachings and testimonies of local Christians with thousands in their area.

In addition to adjusting the curriculum, GNPI has simplified the training kit and made it more cost effective and versatile. In fact, this new version saves us around $1,500-$2,000 per kit! The new kit features the iOgrapher, designed to integrate Apple’s iPad Mini into an HD video production and editing process. The device features an interchangeable lens, a professional microphone, and LED lighting.

Finished videos from our multimedia apprentices and Nomad teams may be uploaded to any social media site for promotion and distribution. It’s an exciting time for Project Nomad as the digital world has allowed even the most rural areas to use video to help spread God’s Word to those who need it most.

If you’d like to support Project Nomad, you could sponsor equipment, production grants, training, or an existing Nomad team at gnpi.org/donate.

For nearly 35 years GNPI has delivered media through Solar Kits, mobilizing almost 500 of them in nearly 50 nations. Evangelists use Solar Kits to plant churches and equip believers in areas without electricity. GNPI assembles Solar Kits in the U.S. and India. The plan is to add assembly and distribution points in Thailand and Kenya.

GNPI-Damoh, India, has made progress on the development of a more indigenous Solar Kit design for Asia. This year they provided 31 kits

to local workers. Their version of the tool includes a microphone to use with large groups, and next they want to add a wi-fi hotspot. Distribution often means a team member makes a long trip to deliver the tool due to shipping challenges.

GNPI’s recent Kart Rally in Arizona raised funding for 25 Solar Kits to help Christian workers around the world. If you’d like to sponsor or request Solar Kits, contact us for more information at gnpi.org/solarkit.

“We were blessed unexpectedly with an inheritance. As we considered whom to help, the first ministry we thought of was GNPI with its many new projects and opportunities.”

These are words of a friend who recently donated a residence to GNPI. Instead of selling the property that had been in the family for years, a generous couple decided to make a gift of the home. In addition to helping their personal tax situation, the donors were satisfied to extend the legacy of a home for a ministry important to them.

“We have lots of choices, but we believe the work of GNPI is good and will last for a long time,” the donor said.

The process was simple. The donor gave the property to GNPI through the Co:Mission Foundation. This organization provides Kingdom-minded individuals with practical ways to give to their favorite charities. Co:Mission handled all aspects of the transaction, and the net proceeds from the sale of the property were transformed into a cash gift to significantly fund GNPI’s mission to accelerate global evangelism throughout the world.

In addition to real estate, you can give many other non-cash assets to fund ministry outreach at GNPI. Call 417-782-0060 or email [email protected].
