Completing the upgrade of Filemaker would aid the external programs department greatly. Much of our pro-gram operation is taken care of with this program and only one person at a time is allowed into the version I have. It is very inefficient at this time. We use it to track each student, retain all (GED/)TASC test scores, send correspondences throughout the year for various updates and news regarding the program, produce the in-house forms used for their files, log and calculate attendance for those under 21, and correspond with school districts several times a year to update them on who the individuals are in their districts attending our program and for whom they will receive a bill for because of the coser in place between us. This program is the primary system we use in the Adult Ed program (aside from the one maintained and used by us along with state ed - the ASISTS database). There are other ways that it is used, too, in our depart-ment that I did not list above both in and outside of our department by our staff.

2 SInce all classrooms will have laptops and projectors, training in the use of these and links to resources would be helpful.

Follow up on training instead of an one time presentation then you're finished. I'd like to be able to see how technology can help me in C&T since we are supposed to be the trendsetters for technical education. I feel we are lacking a great deal in this area. There are too many "one size fits all" pro-fessional development days and I think that focuses on technology advancements would be most useful to me.

I would be willing to learn (and eventually train) almost any type of technology. Having personal experience with staff who are lacking knowledge and access to technology, I am inspired to learn more to assist my colleagues.

It doesn't seem like the ranking on the previous page was working correctly. Is #1 the best and #5 the least desirable? Also, I didn't seem to be able to choose a number for each category. Thanks for doing this sur-vey. I could really use some training opportunities.

I would like to see our students have access to technologies. One of the biggest challenges is using these things with students, being super excited, just to find that they have no experience or understanding of how to use technology. It takes a lot of classroom/teaching time to even get students logged on! We should be do-ing this more in my opinion. There certainly are limited jobs that do not require basic computer skills.

9 I like where this questionnaire is headed. I hope there is action as a result of the answers.

10 I think more support from administration to encourage staff to attend trainings and become more proficient with technology. Perhaps tied to annual performance reviews.

I am hopeful that BOCES is investing in more technology and staff training. I have used equipment like Elmo ( now becoming obsolete!) and find it very beneficial. Many of our students would benefit from having their own tablets in school. One problem is that the technology does become obsolete very quickly and things we purchase , by the time we get it, are already outdated. I don't know the answer but it seems that we need to be very informed before we waste our resources.

When new technology (ie. new copiers) is introduced it would be helpful if there was a more formal training provided so that everyone is on the same page as far as ability to use equipment. It seemed as if some staff had been introduced to the new copiers, some hadn't and learning all of the ins and outs and helpful features were left to the individual to discover.

I provide workshops for component districts in apps used for Assistive Technology. I would like to be able to create a workshop/webinar that staff in component district could watch and then get PDP credit for attending. I think staff in outlying districts would be very interested in having this as an option.

Our computers seem to be outdated and we need more in our classroom. I also would like to be able to access Facebook!! BOCES has a Facebook page, there are always pic-tures/news on their page.....but we are unable to view it?? If it is a site we shouldn't view, why does BOCES have a page??

I attended the Google apps training offered 5/27/15 at 7:45am in the Circle of Courage room and I was amazed at all the things you can do. I also learned a LOT working with Belinda Adams in Specials; I'd take any training on apps or any tech that will help us function as an organization and be more effective with each other and with students.

3 I would be willing to teach SOME basic stuff about things. I am not expert but I am often a go to person when people need help.

4 I really am not interested in learning any other technology.
