North American Division
2015 Science Textbook List The NAD Science Textbook Review Committee, which met in June 2014, was made up of six science teachers and two Union secondary leaders. The committee considered textbooks from three publishers: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt/Holt McDougal, McGraw-‐Hill/Glencoe and Pearson-‐Prentice Hall. Committee Observations:
• Customizable teaching resources (eBooks, labs, worksheets) and clearly defined differentiated instruction activities
• Interactive digital resources available on all platforms • Multilingual vocabulary • Textbooks are aligned with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) or alignment guides
are available. • Textbooks are available online and can be accessed through various eReader apps • Companies offer a wide range of online and digital resources. • Support for teachers to use the provided resources
