Description of Area : It is a rural area but presently it is developing as a semi urban area where most of the inhabitants engaged in casual day labourer, vegetable vendors. Approximate income of the family Rs. 5,000 – 6,000 per month. Some women work as a casual labourer and domestic worker. There are few families who are sending their children for working at tea-shops or hardking at railway station. Apart from that most of the families are much aware to educate their children.

Details on the school curriculum (please attach additional sheets if necessary)

Nursery Section : For children group we are following lessons of formal schools because there are some children whom we prepare to admit at school and few are dropped out from school. We try to admit at formal school both the groups. Though we try our best to make lessons interesting for the children through audiovisual aids, music, song, rhymes and other extracurricular activities.

For Special Education Section : We are guiding the children of their school lessons. Here, the subject like English, Mathematics, Physical Science, including all Science subjects (Class : VI to XI) and other Arts subjects like History, Geography, Social Studies all are guided by the teachers. We do not have any separate curriculum, we are following the curriculum of the school lessons.

Long term goals of the project (mention any changes you foresee)

1. To protect the children from vulnerable situation2. To stop early marriage and trafficking. 3. To create healthy atmosphere of community by educating the children specially girls. We can forsee girls will be conscious and will try their best to be independent. Children mostly coming from distressed families they would be able to come out from the

darkness of their life.

How do you need to improve these facilities

We have to go to the Community like brick field area, Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe Area and other remote villages where children are not going to school and they could not come to our centre due to distance. So we have decided that teacher will go to the Community to educate the children to build up an educational atmosphere surroundings of the villages.

How do you think the school has improved in the last year ?

Children are enthusiastic Children are learning through audiovisual aids. Drawing, painting and other cultural phenomenon keeping children happy

What are the problems you have faced in the last year ?

Children are suffering from mal-nutrition hence, they could not follow lessons properly Students of upper classes from (VIII to XI) who are coming to attend special education class

they are not caring for lessons. Early marriage of girl children and drop out from school. Our education centre is unpopular as teachers are trying to stop early marriage with the help

of Administration

If Asha could support ISW in future to start a mobile education centre from girl children at Border areas to stop trafficking and child marriage it would help to end violence against women in future.

It would be beneficial for poor meritorious students of Asha could start scholarship programme for students who are capable to continue higher education.
