To pay, you must go to my.unt.edu, click on the “Finances” button on the left, and choose “Make a Payment.” If you need help with making a payment online, visit the mLab in MARQ 338. If you would like to sign up for a Payment Plan, you MUST go to Alissa in MARQ 105 to sign up for one before December 11. B. Student Activities Denton Holiday Lighting Festival Discover the spirit of a small town celebration! Join us on Friday, December 4, from 5:30-9:30 PM at the Denton Downtown Square. There will be horse-drawn carriage rides, music, dancing and traditional Christmas treats. If you would like to go, sign up with Raven or Jessalyn in MARQ 202. D. Class Time Requests All schedule preferences for the Spring I term must be submitted online between Monday, November 23, and Friday, December 4. The form can be found online at https://rlm.unt.edu/ieli-info/class-time-request-form. When you complete the form, you must submit documentation, such as an official work schedule, your EIS class schedule, or an official letter from your child’s school or daycare to MARQ 145. If you have special circumstances, you must submit your request and the appropriate documentation before December 11, 2015. This is extremely important since changes will not be made after the Spring I term begins. E. Become a PAL! The Peer Assistance and Leadership (PAL) Program is designed to help new students adjust to both the academic and social environments at UNT. In this program, experienced students serve as mentors for new students. Mentors give advice and guidance to new students. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved at IELI and become a leader. Students who serve as mentors will be given a certificate of participation and will be able to include it on university applications and resumes! You must have completed at least two terms in IELI and be in levels 4, 5, or 6. If you are interested in becoming a PAL, stop by MARQ 202 for an application! The deadline to apply is Friday, December 4. G. Important Schedule Change Next term, the class schedule will be: Levels 4, 5, and 6 classes will be in the morning (8:10-11:50 AM) Levels 0, 1, 2, and 3 classes will be in the afternoon (1:10-4:50 PM) If a student requires further explanation of a grade (either a passing or a non-passing grade), the student must sign up in the IELI Main Office (MARQ 145) on Thursday, December 10, to make an appointment with the grade appeal advisors. The advisors will speak with the student, look carefully at the student’s situation, and answer any questions that the student might have. Appointments are available for Thursday, December 10 and Friday, December 11 from 9:00—11:00 AM. Grade Appeal F. Grade Report C. Study Hall Would you like somewhere quiet to study before finals? Coffee & Culture Discussion GroupCoffee & Culture is held every Thursday, 5:00—6:00 PM in MARQ 215 and is a great way to practice your English outside of class. We will meet for the last time this term on Thursday, December 3 to drink coffee and discuss what we did during the Thanksgiving break. You do not need to sign up!

Dorm InformationAre you planning to live in a dorm during winter break? You must go to Crumley Hall and sign up to stay in the dorms during the holidays. You might have to move to a different room over the winter break because not all of the dorms stay open. If you decide to move out of the dorm, you must go to Crumley Hall, fill out paperwork, and follow the moving procedures. If you don’t, you will be required to pay expensive fines.

Reading Palooza!Levels 0-3 students, would you like a chance to improve your reading skills, win prizes, and have a chance to win your very own Scrappy? Then head to the mLab (MARQ 338) and start reading the RFU cards. Fill in an entrance form, hand it to Evan, and win prizes. For each form you enter, you increase your chances of winning a Scrappy. The Scrappy winner will be announced on Monday, December 7. There’s no limit to how many times you can enter!The last day to enter will be Friday, December 4, 5:00 PM. If you have any questions, talk to Evan or one of the labbies (Abdullah, Alejandro, Cindia, Kaori, Yuchen) in the mLab.
