IELI Student Activities

IELI “Idol” Karaoke Night Join IELI for a night of fun with singing, dancing, and performing some of your favorite songs and catchy tunes on Wednesday, September 30, from 5:00-6:00 PM in the 3rd floor student lounge. Food will be provided! Sign up in MARQ 202 by Tuesday, September 29. We’ll see you there!

State Fair of Texas The State Fair of Texas is one of the most popular and exciting events in Dallas every year. There are so many things to see and do including unusual foods, concerts, rides at the Midway, and museums to visit. Sign up in MARQ 202 by Friday, October 2. The trip will be on Saturday, October 3 from 11:00 AM-5:00 PM. We will meet at 10:45 AM outside Marquis Hall to ride the bus.

Fall II Tuition

The Fall II tuition payment of $3,250 is due by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16. If you would like to request a payment plan, you MUST go to Alissa in MARQ 105 to set up an installment agreement before October 16.

PRE-REGISTRATION

ALL current students (including level 6 students planning to graduate) must complete the online pre-registration for the Fall II term. Students must pre-register online at my.unt.edu during Week 6: Monday, September 28, 8:00 AM - Friday, October 2, 5:00 PM.

If you need help registering online, you can visit the IELI Lab in MARQ 338 for help or see the tutorial on “My IELI” (Blackboard) in the “How To for IELI students” folder. If your plans change after you register, you must go to the IELI Main Office (MARQ 145) to update your pre-registration form.

Level 6 students who fail will automatically be registered for next term and tuition must be paid by Friday, October 16. *Fall II term dates are October 19 – December 11, 2015

Class Time Requests All class time requests for the Fall II term must be submitted online by Friday, October 9. When you complete the form, you must submit documentation, such as an official work schedule, your EIS class schedule, or an official letter from your child’s school or daycare to the IELI Main Office (MARQ 145). Go to rlm.unt.edu and log in with your EUID and password. Click on IELI INFO and choose FORMS and SURVEYS. If you have special circumstances, you must submit your request and the appropriate documentation before the deadline of October 9, 2015. Changes will NOT be able to be made after the Fall II term begins.

Guest Artist Recital At 6:30 PM on Thursday, October 1, UNT will be having a Guest Artist Recital featuring Kristyn Son on flute, Chang Ho Lim on violin, and Jinwoo Kim on piano. The performance is free to all and will be in Recital Hall. Become a PAL!

Students, IELI needs your help! We need students who speak Arabic, French, Korean, Vietnamese, or Thai to help us with orientation week. We need you to become a PAL! PALs help with Orientation week by assisting and translating for new students. Students who are interested must be in Levels 3-6. Sign up in MARQ 202 today!
