The Annual
Sept. 19th 2015
11am-5pm
On behalf of our generous sponsors and the Board and staff of Hyattsville CDC I’m very pleased to welcome you to our Eighth Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival. Rain or shine, we are sure you will be as excited as we are for the amazing mix of media; new and returning talents; and fresh styles selected by this year’s festival jury. This year we are featuring some firsts: we’re hosting a festival-wide, interactive iconographic experiment, so look for the Weburgers Project staff and have some fun creating your very own artistic iconography. We’re also introducing a new Gateway Arts District T-Shirt, designed by our very own Justin Fair. Support our Gateway Arts District programming and represent. Be sure you pick one up! In this guide, you’ll find a list of our exhibiting visual artists and artisans, a schedule of performers, featured arts activities, community announcements, the latest Hyattsville Dining Guide, and important parking information. A special thank you goes out to our returning sponsors, for their long-standing, generous support. A great big welcome goes to the eleven new community sponsors; whose fresh interest and consideration have also helped to make this event possible. We bring this festival of the community, to the community; for everyone who calls Hyattsville home or finds it a great place to enjoy. We hope new visitors will discover the charms of Hyattsville’s downtown and community life. To learn more about Hyattsville CDC, our sponsors, or the Gateway Arts District, please visit with our friendly staff and volunteers at the Welcome Table.

The Annual Downtown Hyattsville Arts Festival (organized by the Hyattsville CDC) is supported by a grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive.
An agency of the Department of Business & Economic Development, the MSAC provides financial support and technical assistance to non-profit organizations, units of government, colleges and universities for arts activities. Funding for the Maryland State Arts Council is also provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
The Hyattsville CDC thanks Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission Division of Community Planning and Department of Parks & Recreation Arts & Cultural Heritage Division for their General Support.
