Take Home Projects

Each month, starting in October, we will be sending home take home projects. Each month is a different activity that should be done at home with the help of the family. This is an opportunity for your student to shine and show their peers how creative they can be! These projects will be hung outside our classrooms for all to admire.

Quick Reminders

Please remember to have your student’s name on ALL items (water bottles, snack containers, hats, mittens, boots, AVA vests, and AVA blue fleece coats).

We always go outside, unless it is below 20 degrees or raining. So make sure your kiddo brings enough to keep them warm outside for 15-20 minutes. It can get very windy on the play ground!

There will be a field trip in the fall and another towards the end of this year. More detailed information will come in a few weeks.

Grading in Kindergarten

Our goal in Kindergarten is to introduce responsibility through growing the components of social, emotional, and academic behaviors, to equip students for first grade readiness.

We will give end of unit tests for Wonders and Singapore Math.

Content grades are based off unit scores and effort.
