Homework from Session 3• Write up a critical incident in your learning journal of an event in
which you realised the importance of using interpersonal skills effectively in order to achieve a positive outcome.
• Home Group Task – do some research on different leadership styles and share your thoughts with each other on this.

Evidence of Impact
Success Criteria + Evaluation Strategies > Evidence of Impact
Evidence of Impact 1Relating evidence to the bigger picture and the intended outcomes
• for your own leadership and management practice?
• for pupils and their learning?
• for colleagues, their learning and their practice and for the system as a whole?
Evidence of Impact 2Identifying detailed Success
Criteria and demonstrating meeting them
• What does success in the chosen activities look like in detail?
• What evidence would allow me to identify the actual impact that had taken place (as opposed to what I had planned for or hoped for)?
Evidence of Impact 3Identifying the Evaluation
Strategies• How will I know for sure?• What methods will be appropriate
to find out?• How can I demonstrate:
my own learning, level of competence, enhanced professional actions?
pupil gain ie improved quality in pupils’ learning experiences and pupil learning?
increased capacity within the system?
