Tanya Damsgaard (nee: Howe), passed away August

26, 2013 following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 2, 1975 in Moose Jaw, she grew up

on the family farm at Baildon and maintained an

active interest in. She always came home at bull sale time to

help clerk and have a visit with family and friends.

Tanya received a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from the

University of Saskatchewan in 1998. She moved to Swan

River, MB after graduation where she met Rob and they

were married on December 21, 2002. They moved to

Winnipeg in 2003 where she continued her profession as a

Pharmacist.

Tanya is survived by her husband Rob of Winnipeg;

parents Dale & Lois Howe, brother Mike Howe & Lisa

Cunningham, brother Kelly & Julie-Anne Howe, nephew

Matthew, niece Elise & uncle Doug Howe. Tanya will be

greatly missed and will be forever in our hearts.

of the set of bulls we have on offer this year. These bulls are

the result of many years spent in the purebred business by the

contributors to the sale.

We have followed a strict culling procedure to bring you the

very best set of bulls that we have offered in the last 24 years.

These bulls are the result of a hardworking set of cows where

good feet, legs and udders are taken very seriously.

Never before has it paid as well to be running top quality bulls

in your cow herd. These bulls are affordable. In our 2013 sale

over 60% of the sale offering sold for $4000 or less. Now more

than ever the heavy calves are bringing the top dollar in your

local auction mart. In mid February at Heartland in Moose Jaw

we sold tan steers weighing 910 lbs. to bring 164.25. These

steers grossed $1486.46.

This will be the 8th year we have sold our bulls by video auc-

tion. Our customers are happy with the video auction concept

and find it much easier to analyze the bulls when you are able

to see them move freely versus being crammed into a small

sale ring.

This calf is definitely fitting to be our lead off bull. 232A is sired by the high selling bull in our 2012 Bull Sale to Steppler Charolais. The dam of this bull is also the mother to our home raised herd sire 263Y. You can see by the next bull and the rest of his progeny in this sale there is lots of reasons we kept him to use. This smooth polled calf is out of one of our strongest cow family with longevity built in. His great grandmother raised a calved past 20 years of age!!! Terms and Conditions

Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque at par at Moose Jaw unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made previous to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released.

Disputes: In case of disputes, bidding will be re-opened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters is final.

Purchaser’s Risk: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time.

Announcements: Errors discover dint he catalogue will be corrected by announcements from the auction stand at sale time and such corrections will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.

Certificate of Registry: Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Charolais and Angus Associations. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be fur-nished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made.

Breeders Guarantee: Should any bull, 14 months of age or over, fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeder, the matter shall be reported in writing to the seller within 6 months following date of purchase or 6 months after the bull has reached 14 months of age. The seller will then have the right and privilege of 6 months to prove the bull a breeder. No guarantee is given that semen collected from the bull will freeze.

Exception Guarantee: In case where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproductions techniques after the sale, this guarantee shall be null and void.

Settlement: Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, care, AI, signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc., will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal in question to be a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer is guaranteed a satisfactory re-placement FOB ranch or locations or origin or a refund of the actual price FOB selling point. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price paid FOB selling point. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sale Management will appoint a mediator.

Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of buyers, neither the sales manager, auctioneer nor Association assumes any responsibility in this matter and disclaims any liability legal or otherwise, in the event of accident or loss of property.The consignors to our 2012 sale would like to reserve the right to draw semen on any of the bulls selling at the buyer’s convenience.

Rights and Obligations: The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following purchase in the sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties concerned there to are not covered by the terms and conditions of this sale. Health: Cattle will be guaranteed exportable.
