「台北國際自行車展創新設計獎 (TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards)」

2014年邁入第 3屆，由中華民國對外貿易發展協會與台灣自行

車輸出業同業公會共同主辦，委請 iF藝符設計有限公司執行。

「台北國際自行車展 (TAIPEI CYCLE Show)」是亞洲最大的自

行車產業盛會，透過「台北國際自行車展創新設計獎」，期能

促進全球自行車產業交流，引領產業創新趨勢。2014年競賽

計吸引 185件來自全球 16個國家地區的自行車產業創新設計

作品參與，包括德國、日本、香港、美國、加拿大、荷蘭、法

國、義大利、英國、澳洲、中國大陸、以色列，以及今年首度

參賽的瑞士、南韓、斯洛伐克，可見這項競賽國際化程度逐年

提升，愈受各國業者重視。

本屆評審由瑞士、德國、美國、比利時與台灣專家組成，擁有

自行車或設計產業豐厚的實務經驗。評審從參賽作品的創新程

度、設計品質、工藝、材料運用、永續性、功能、實用性、安

全性、人體工學、通用設計等標準進行評選，最後共有 49件

在設計與創新上表現傑出的作品獲選。

參賽產品中透露出許多足以提昇自行車產業的創意。例如折疊

車設計，不但體積更為輕巧，也簡化折疊方式，快速收折及方

便推行，用於都會運輸更便利。此外結合藍牙科技，連結生理

監測器與智慧型手持裝置，可讓騎乘者隨時注意自身的健康變

化。而於單車裝配新式車燈配件，提高單車旅遊的安全性，於

自行車附掛露營裝備，則將單車騎乘與戶外運動結合，進一步

鼓勵騎乘者，投入單車旅遊的樂活生活體驗。

謹代表中華民國對外貿易發展協會與台灣自行車輸出業同業公

會，感謝所有參賽者與評審的投入，並期待未來有更多廠商，

透過這個平台發光發熱。

TAITRA (the Taiwan External Trade Development Council) and

TBEA (the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters' Association) co-organize

the TAIPEI CYCLE Show, the largest cycling industry event in

Asia. TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards, co-organized by TAITRA and

TBEA for the third time in 2014, and executed independently by

iF DESIGN ASIA Ltd., aim to lead the global cycling industry in

innovation.

185 entries from 16 countries entered the competition, reflecting

the ever-increasing internationalization of the awards. Besides

those from Germany, Japan, Hong Kong, the U.S.A., Canada, the

Netherlands, France, Italy, UK, Australia, China and Israel, entries

came from Switzerland, Korea and Slovakia for the first time.

Professionals experienced in design and in cycling industry

from Switzerland, Germany, the U.S.A., Belgium and Taiwan

evaluated each entry based on degree of innovation, quality of

design, workmanship, material, sustainability, functionality, utility

value, safety, ergonomics, and universal design. Together they

selected 49 winners excelling in innovation and design.

Winning products reflect a vast and varied pool of ingenuity in

the cycling industry, including super compact, fast folding bike

for commuters, bluetooth technology integrated accessory that

monitors physical condition for cyclists, bicycles equipped with

new designed bicycle light and outdoor equipment that can be

hung on bikes. All these will encourage more people to adapt a

healthy and sustainable lifestyle that cycling seeks to inspire.

台北國際自行車展創新設計獎自 2012年台北國際自行車展

25週年期間首次舉辦，今年邁入第三屆，該獎項已成為自行

車產業的品質保證，獲獎標誌代表著創新產品以及開創性的

設計。

今年元月間國際專家組成的評委會齊聚台北，針對來自 16

個國家總計 185件的參賽作品進行評選，參賽作品含括：自

行車成車、自行車零組件、自行車配件與電動車四個類別。

評委會經過一番漫長而鼓舞人心的討論後做出決定：49件產

品因其在設計與創新的傑出成就獲獎，其中 5件更獲得台北

國際自行車展金質獎的殊榮。

本屆競賽的參賽作品包羅萬象，從為專業自行車手量身打造

的登山車、公路車到特別為行動不便者開發的產品都有，令

評委留下深刻印象。除此之外，導航系統與應用程式等高科

技產品於自行車產業所佔比重日益增加，也是評委關注到的

一個趨勢。

台北國際自行車展創新設計獎對製造商與經銷商來說都是重

要的行銷工具，廠商可藉此機會來進行市場定位，並自其他

競爭對手中間脫穎而出。台北國際自行車展創新設計獎由中

華民國對外貿易發展協會以及台灣自行車輸出業同業公會主

辦，並由 iF藝符設計有限公司籌劃執行。

我們很榮幸以此專刊向您介紹 2014年台北國際自行車展創

新設計獎獲獎作品，並再次感謝評審委員在評選作業中所付

出的寶貴貢獻，他們完美地成就了一項艱苦的工作！

The TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards will be presented this year

for the third time. Since its debut on the occasion of the 25th

anniversary of the TAIPEI CYCLE Show in 2012, the TAIPEI

CYCLE d&i awards have developed into a seal of quality for the

bicycle industry – a seal that stands for innovative products,

which blaze new trails in the world of design.

The panel of international judges examined a total of 185 entries

from 16 countries in the categories of Bicycles, Components +

Parts, Accessories and E-Bikes + Pedelecs in Taipei in January.

After some lengthy, inspiring discussion, the judges' decisions

were in: the experts selected 49 products as award winners for

outstanding achievement in design and innovation, five of which

are to receive a TAIPEI CYCLE Gold award.

The judges were particularly impressed by the diverse selection

of different products entered: the entries ranged from mountain

bikes and road bikes for professional cyclists right up to products

specially designed for the handicapped. They were also

impressed with the increasing proportion of high-tech products:

navigation systems and APPs are now playing an increasingly

important role in the bicycle industry.

Winning a TAIPEI CYCLE d&i award is an important marketing

instrument for manufacturers as well as for retailers – it helps to

position a product on the market and to make it stand out from

the competition. The TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards are hosted by

the TAITRA and the TBEA, with the team from iF DESIGN ASIA

Ltd. responsible for the conception and the organization.

We are happy to be able to present to you on the following pages

the winners of the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2014. At the same

time, we would like to sincerely thank all the judges for their

valuable contribution and a difficult job well done!

Martin Kessler founded PROCESS in 1995 – a branding

and design agency, which now has offices in Switzerland,

Taiwan and China. As a project leader, he developed

a new brand ident i ty for BMC, a Swiss b icyc le

manufacturer. At Swissair, Kessler was the head of

the Corporate Design department. He has already

successfully taken part in the Swiss Gigathlon eight

times – one of the world's most demanding competitions

in multiple sports.

Martin Kessler在 1995年創立了 PROCESS品牌與設計公

司，目前在瑞士、台灣和中國均設有辦公處所。作為專案負

責人的他，曾為瑞士 BMC自行車製造商開發全新的品牌識

別。Kessler之前也是瑞士航空的企業設計部門主管。他先

後已成功參與瑞士鐵人競賽（Swiss Gigathlon）八次，該

項競賽被視為全世界最嚴苛的競賽之一。

Michael Steen joined Nike, USA in 1995, directly

after finishing his degree at Boston College. Today,

he works as Innovation Director for Nike Taiwan.

Together with an international team made up of product

developers, engineers, material experts, analysts and

product testers, Steen works on product revolutions

and advanced technological developments in the

manufacturing process.

Michael Steen在 1995年取得波士頓學院學位後，即加入

美國 Nike公司。目前他在台灣 Nike公司擔任創意總監一

職，與產品開發人員、工程師、材料專家、分析師與產品測

試人員組成的國際團隊共同努力推動生產過程中的產品革

命與技術研發。

Norbert Haller studied industrial design in cooperation

with Audi. In 1998, he began his professional career in the

LEV industry. Haller designed and developed bicycles,

pedelecs, e-bikes and e-scooters for customers from all

over the world – first as CEO and then as the Director of

Design at Craftsmen Design in Berlin (Germany). From

2007 to 2012, he worked as the Head Designer at Ultra

Motor Ltd., UK. Today, Haller is the Managing Director of

IDberlin in Berlin. He also sometimes lives and works in

Taiwan. Thanks to his long years of experience in the LEV

industry, Haller has access to excellent connections in the

bike industry.

究。1998年，他投身輕型電動車產業，展開他的職業生涯。

Haller曾為世界各地的客戶設計和開發自行車、助踩式電動

自行車、直接驅動式電動自行車和電動滑板車，並先後擔任

德國柏林 Craftsmen Design執行長與設計總監。2007年

至 2012年期間，Haller於英國 Ultra Motor公司擔任首席

設計師。目前他任職柏林 IDberlin總經理，也曾因工作需要

旅居台灣。由於 Haller在輕型電動車產業具有多年經驗，

因此在自行車產業享有良好的人脈關係。

Shikuan Chen is one of the most prominent personalities

in Taiwanese and Chinese design. He heads a team of

more than 200 design experts at Compal Electronics

INC. (Ta iwan) , where he is respons ib le fo r the

company's business and design strategies. He is also

professor of design at the Shih Chien University (Taipei)

and at the Asia University. From 2004 to 2009, he was

global design account director at Philips Design (Taipei

and Hong Kong). In 1995, he received his MA degree

in Fine Art in Design from the Cranbrook Academy of

Art (USA).

陳禧冠是大中華區設計界舉足輕重的代表人物，他目前在

仁寶電腦帶領逾 200名設計專家團隊，並負責公司的經營

和設計策略規劃。此外，他也是台北實踐大學與亞洲大學

的設計系教授。1995年，他自美國葛蘭布魯克藝術學院取

得設計碩士學位。2004年至 2009年期間，曾擔任飛利浦

設計中心（台北和香港）全球設計總監一職。

Tony K. M. Chang, born in 1946, studied architecture at

the Chung-Yuan Christian University in Chungli, Taiwan

– today, he is editor-in-chief of DESIGN magazine and

Chief Advisor of the Taiwan Design Center of which he

was CEO until 2013. In addition, Chang holds talks in

Asia, Europe and the USA. As a well-respected design

expert, he has also worked in a consulting capacity for

several decades. Chang was the founding chairman

of the Taiwan Design Alliance in 2008. In 2013, he was

elected – already for the third time – as a member of the

executive board of the International Council of Societies

of Industrial Design (ICSID).

張光民生於 1946年，中原大學建築系畢。他於 2013年自

台灣設計創意中心執行長一職退休後，目前擔任台灣設計

中心總顧問及《DESIGN 設計》雙月刊的總編輯。此外，這

位德高望重的設計專家經常在亞洲、歐洲及美國舉辦論壇，

亦以顧問身分服務設計產業數十年。張光民於 2008年擔任

台灣設計聯盟創會理事長；2013年，他第三度獲選為國際

工業設計社團協會 (ICSID)執行董事。

Stijn Deferm grew up in Belgium. The designer traveled

frequently all over the world and ran cycling races

at a professional level. During his time in Germany,

the designer worked for riese und müller, a bicycle

manufacturer in Darmstadt (Germany), among others, and

was a guest lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences

there. Deferm has lived in Taiwan since 2011, where he

co-founded Section Zero, the in-house design agency of

Pacific Cycles Inc. Today, Deferm works as independent

consultant/designer for many companies.

Stijn Deferm出生於比利時，是位四海為家、並曾活躍於自

行車職業賽事的設計師。他在德國居住期間，曾任職於達

姆施塔特區的 Riese & Müller自行車製造商公司，並擔任

當地應用科學大學客座講師。自 2011年起，Deferm定居

台灣，與夥伴共同創立 Section Zero，為太平洋自行車公

司的內部設計工作團隊。Deferm目前是多家公司的獨立顧

問 /設計師。

Design key-point: Changing of the locking direction from

the traditional 2 directional securing to 4 directions

enlarges the locking surface and increases the stability

of the folding stem.

How it works: When pushing the lever to the locking

position, the center lock slider will automatically pull

along the left and right lock sliders together into the

locking position.

With just 1 action, the front, back, lef t and right

directions are locked together, greatly enhance the

overall strength, offering stability that a general folding

device could not achieve before.

lock built into it. The lock cannot be fully removed from

the seat post. The InterLock™ cables are long enough

when pulled out to go through the frame, rear wheel and

Being stylish while unfolded and ultra-compact when

folded, the SPF 1500 has only one pivot that requires

one-touch operation. Unprecedentedly, the front and

rear wheels are precisely overlapped so you can carry

and store it in your office, home or even in a rush-hour

subway train. A locking device and declined hinge are

The tubeless-ready carbon hoops are 33mm deep, and

use Novatec's proprietary bead lock technology and

Matrisilk structural reinforcement to hold true their 23mm

internal-width rim. During our testing, we bashed these

things into sharp rocks repeatedly, and have yet to

discover any signs of weakness. Rim stiffness is better

than most other wheels on the market, and we feel

confident laying our test bike over, knowing the wheels

would roll where we pointed them to.

in weight. You will no longer have to choose between

lightweight and strength. Nothing is more important

than your life. The beautiful rhetoric is worthless without

sufficient safety. The Super molasses wheel axle only

weighs 36 grams. The locking force of the axis is over

10 times the EN standard (250N).

The tightening handle is the pry tire rod. The outer tire

can be removed and the surface of the inner tire can be

ground easily through the specific design of the variable

THRUST E is an innovat ive pedal -based power

measuring device. The pedals measure individual power

output from left and right separately with ±2% accuracy.

The strain gauge is located in the pedal contact area,

the closest point where force is directly applied. Unlike

other pedal-based power measuring devices, the

THRUST E collects raw data from the exact point where

the force is applied and requires no further correction.

Data transmitters are integrated into the body without

In the past, the scandium frames could only use very

simple tubing, like round or oval, because scandium is

too hard to make complex shapes.

But now, Kinesis Scandium (KSC) and Super Plastic

Forming (Air forming) together have realized the creation

of complex scandium tubing profile.

R915 is the first frame which uses KSC tubing. With KSC

tubing, R915 has nice tubing profile and weighs 1100g

in 56cm size.

The stiffness and strength of KSC are good, and can

be easily formed by SPF, so we can not only make the

bicycle frame lighter than typical aluminum frames, but

also make frames with complex tubing profile.

R915 has passed the EN test and is offered at reasonable

prices.

Downhill Monster provides a new idea, using the

engineered plastic studs to change the grip and

hand l ing pe r fo rmance. I t can be an a l l - round

competition tire applicable for a variety of downhill

surfaces and weather. Little Monster has red studs in

the shoulder blocks, giving great supporting force.

It can dip into the soil surface with the tip of the stud

The electronically controlled lockout function for TS8

suspension forks: eLECT locks the fork automatically

depending on the riding situation, yet the entire system

is 15g lighter than the mechanical DLO².

Automatic mode: The 3D acceleration sensor registers

gradients and shocks with its free-fall and motion

detection functions.

Manual mode: The lockout function is control led

independently using the wireless remote. The remote

Within our design, we have developed a new patented

saddle with a unique, self-supporting platform based on

shock absorbers. Various density of shock absorbers

(soft: to 70kg; medium: 70kg to 85kg; hard: 85kg to

100kg) can be adapted to the weight of the rider. Shock

absorbers improve riding comfort, protect spine &

protect rails against damage. Most of the shocks during

riding are absorbed by shock absorbers. Seat designs

allow the rider to replace EVO OVAL rails for new ones

in case of damage or others needs. Each MORGAW

seat is customizable by MORGAW color kit available in

ten different colors. Saddles are designed for road, mtb

The latest forks are made with alloy, featuring only 2

blades that together created a crown, and cover the

steerer with only one welding path in the middle. This

technique shortens the procedure time. Moreover, the

2 sides are in perfect symmetry, so it saves time (on

manufacturing) and are much lighter than traditional

alloy forks, at about 500g (depending on the disc

mount). Typical alloys' stress point is usually placed on

the weld point, but with the LF pattern, the weld point

is placed in the middle and the stress is distributed

equally between the forks. This prevents loose bonding

areas associated with carbon forks and breaking

caused by high temperature.

傳統的鋁合金前叉有重量重、焊接處多，且外觀不比碳纖維

製的外型精鍊等問題。而若將叉腳以鍛造而成的話成本又

過高，因此研發出了此種最新專利式製作技術，打破傳統製

The ATS Crank Sensor detects the movement of slots

on the 2 disc plates by light sensor (photosensor). The

contactless sensing system creates more accurate and

durable, anti-noise performance.

It can output: the calculated digital pulse to controller

detected by photosensor; rational DC voltage from input

(pedal torque); and the crank rotation signal. There is no

output mechanism while reverse pedaling.

This EZ pump head makes engagement with the tire

valve very easy. It only needs one hand to push-on &

pull-off. (Traditional pump head needs 2 hands, with

one hand holding the pump head and the other lifting

the cam lever.) EZ head features 8-fingered clamps

which can lock with the metal stem of tire valve and, at

the same time, squeeze the rubber valve to air-tight with

the tire valve. It also has an auto dual valve system for

The BioLogic FixKit™ multi-tool is a super-thin, compact

bicycle tool that features 20 commonly-used tools.

It is the only tool in its class to include a high-leverage

15 mm wrench for axle nuts and pedals. The patented

design securely locks the wrench to the tool body, so

on carrying stable cargo, rider comfort and clean

aesthetics. The removable battery is integrated in the

seat tube, which gives the best combination of weight

balance, functionality and style. The front basket holds

up to 25kg, and is easily installed or removed. While the

bike is ruggedly constructed and painted with a simple

matte black, the bamboo panels on the front basket and

rear carrier give the bike a warm look and personality.

The YES bike. Is it really an electric bike? YES, it

is electric for sure. The bicycle is equipped with

Protanium's innovative shaft motor. The motor housing

is made of carbon. The batteries are elegantly hidden in

the saddle, and most wires are invisible. This gives the

bike a clean look. The electric drivetrain is totally hidden

and no one will ever discover that this bicycle is electric.

The frame is extremely light. It is made of Carbon with

a layer of Kevlar to give the frame extra strength to

handle the many external forces from all sorts of road

conditions, making it extra safe. The frame and front

fork are also our own development, and made via the

Autoclave method.

YES自行車是否為電動自行車呢 ? 答案當然是 "YES"。這台
