Frequently Asked Questions1. What are Groups?

Casual groups of 10 or so people that come together once a week for 90 minutes to learn how to live, connect with others, receive care, and have fun too.

2. Who can join a Group?Any adult who wants to grow can join a Group. You do not have to be a member of Messiah Community Church to join.

3. How do I choose a Group?You choose a Group based on your interest or the time it meets.

4. How much does it cost to join a Group?The cost of materials is your only expense. The average price of materials is $15.00.*Please Note: Additional expenses are incurred when Groups meet over a meal.

Who are the Group Facilitators?Group Facilitators are leaders in the church.

What can I expect from my Group Facilitators?When Group Facilitators are asked to facilitate, we ask them to enter into covenant with the other Facilitators by making the following commitments:

1. They will embody and reflect the values and principles of Messiah Community Church and will follow the leadership of the Ministerial Staff.

2. They will faithfully attend Messiah on Sundays and : Intentionally identify and greet those in their Group Participate in the church through financial giving Lead their Group in an outreach project

3. They will make their Group a priority by: Faithfully attending their Group Preparing beforehand for their Group each week Inviting/welcoming others to join their Group

4. They understand they are responsible for the care of their Group. As a result, they will pray for the individuals in their Group. Follow up with each person in their Group Lead their Group in providing care for one another

5. They will strive to create an environment of growth in their Group by: Involving as many people as possible in Group discussion Creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment Beginning and ending on time

What is expected of me as a Group member?Make weekly attendance a priority. If you have to miss due to an emergency, please contact your Group Facilitator.

Welcome to Power for Living. Congratulations on your desire to grow deeper in your relationship with God through this weekly study and the relationships that will begin in this Group.

As a member of this Group, you will be asked to enter into a covenant with the other members to make this Group a priority. To be a part of the Group, you are asked to make the following commitments:

1. I will make this Group a priority by attending each week, keeping up with my assignments and participating in Group discussion.

2. I will strive to build authentic relationships with those in this Group by showing care, providing encouragement, and praying for their needs.

3. I will support the outreach project and get together with my Group for fun at least once.
