• Replace the landing and taxi lights with a type uses Lights Emitting Diodes (LED) as the light source. The LED lights have a longer life span, better reliability and illumination

• Chafing of the Pilot Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi Function Display (MFD) wiring looms

• During removal or installation and in normal aircraft operations, the pilot PFD and the upper and lower MFDs wiring looms may chafe against the edges of the mounting tray, which can cause damage to wire insulation

Action

• Inspect the wiring looms for chafe damage, repair as needed and then install protective sleeving on the looms

• Recommended: 1.75 man-hours per aircraft

SB 46-005 PROTECTION OF THE PILOT PFD/MFD WIRING LOOMS



Issue

• The plastic pitot tube located in the outer wing can crack or fracture

• To avoid damage, the plastic pitot pipe is replaced with an aluminum pipe

Action

• Replace the pitot pipe located between flap cove rib 14A and rib 16

SB 34-039 IMPROVEMENT OF THE PITOT PIPE LINE



• This upgrade includes (as applicable per MSN):

– SB 46-004 Wireless Loading/Downloading System, including NG NIC

– SB 31-018 New GIO and CSIO modules Will restart to supply IO modules once Build 8.8 is available / SC to provide dates when already CFD equipped PC-12/47E are planned to be back at the SC to receive the IO modules

– SB 45-010 Primus Apex Build 8.6 Will be superceded by upcoming Build 8.8 (SB 45-012)

• Introduces the latest NG NIC, GIO and CSIO modular avionics unit modules (as applicable per MSN). Important: This latest configuration will be required for the installation of future Primus Apex build

• Some operators of the Pilatus PC-12 have reported hearing noises originating from the PSOV when the solenoid is energized

• The noise can be linked to a loud buzzing sound, which can intermittently start or stop during engine running

• Following details should be included with a core return to Honeywell for a PSOV that is suspected being “Noisy”

– PSOV identified as a “Noisy Valve”

– Where possible include operational conditions at the time the valve was noted to have noises emanating from it

– Reference: SIL-2959A-01

– Request investigation required reference product investigation report No. 307805190

• An oil leak occurred on the torque limiter after 544 hours of service

• The torque limiter leakage was attributable to the pivot and spring assembly that became loose due to a low torque condition of the retaining screws

– Automatic It’s always ON and requires no operator intervention

– Dependent It depends on an accurate GNSS signal for position

data

– Surveillance It provides “Radar-like” surveillance services

– Broadcast It continuously broadcasts aircraft position and

other data to any A/C or ground station equipped to receive ADS-B

• In the U.S. when should I equip for ADS-B?

– If you operate in airspace that currently requires a Mode C or Mode S transponder, you’ll need to be equipped with ADS-B “Out” by 2020
