The Roseville Chamber of Commerce is the only accredited chamber in the region.

A Message from Your CEO

Wendy Gerig CEO

B ill Clinton was President of the United States; the average cost of a new house was $113,200; average income per year was $31,230; a loaf of bread was $1.57 and I was hired as CEO of the Roseville

Chamber of Commerce. What do all these things have in common? They took place 20 years ago this year! During the last 20 years, I’ve seen huge changes in the City of Roseville with the opening of Westfield Galleria at Roseville and the Fountains Roseville, the building of Hyatt Place, building of the first Sun City non dessert community, the coming & goings of many City Council members and Mayors and most recently the transformation of the Downtown Vernon Street Square. The Roseville Chamber has gone through big changes too. The expansion of the Chamber office and consolidating two locations into one took place. We helped the Granite Bay community overcome the loss of their Chamber and welcomed them into Roseville. We have successfully been re-Accredited for 20 years and continue to be the only Accredited Chamber in the region. We’ve also fostered a strong partnership with the City, County and Regional legislators. Lastly, during this time we implemented SPLASH, Leadership Roseville and the annual Business Walk which still continue today. I’ve made great friends along the way and continue to try and keep them active in many of the Chamber’s programs, committees and events. Thank you for your continued support of myself and the Roseville Chamber!

ACTIVITIES

SYLVIA BESANA ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARADE that was held on November 23 and was a fabulous way to start off the holiday season. Hundreds lined the parade route to see the many floats, cars and marching bands. The highlight of the event was the City of Roseville’s Holiday Tree making it’s way down the parade route in the “snow!”

The 17th Leadership Roseville class graduated in June of 2013. The Graduation Dinner saw the most Alumni from previous Leadership classes. Attorneys at Law has maintained an office in Roseville since 1957. I joined the firm in 1985, and have had the pleasure of serving the Roseville business community for the last twenty-nine years. One of my partners, Bob Sinclair, previously served as President of the Roseville Chamber and currently serves as Chair of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce Political Action Committee. Our mission is to provide value to our members, to promote the needs of business and industry, and to create the best community in which to live, work and do business.
