2-Facet Single Edge BladesPersonna 2-facet single edge blades are an excellent choice for general cutting and scraping. Our famous Duro Edge® provides a great balance of sharpness and durability. Available in .009 & .012” high carbon steel with steel or aluminum backing. American Line 2-facet blades are primarily used for scraping applications like paint removal, removal of tape, adhesives and other materials from hard surfaces. The 2-facet blade is also used for cutting and trimming non-critical materials like paper, plastics, and film.

Why Stainless?While our Carbon Single Edge blades are the best in the business, you do have choices, depending on the application. Ever thought of stainless? The advantages of stainless are: A slightly softer material, that will “give” slightly when the edge hits something solid on the surface you are using it on. When that happens, the material will give, instead of chipping off, creating a burr that will do damage to the surface. And we know what happens when a burr is run across a glass surface.
