HORIZONTAL LANCE VALVE, TWO-PIPE, M28

An extended lance improves supply to the radiator. Wherever possible, we advise using extension lance ref. 4439 on the 4-way valve.

The use of a 4-way valve can affect the performance of the radiator (check with the radiator manufacturer concerned). Most design radiators are equipped with a diaphragm at the inlet. Care must be taken to ensure the lance protrudes by at least 1cm through thediaphragm.Otherwisethereisariskofinsufficientsupplyorofbypassing the radiator inlet and outlet.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS

The basic function of the outlet is to connect and isolate the radiator.

Intherealworldofaproject,thiscanprovetobemoredifficultthan

expected. Comap provides solutions to facilitate the installer’s job.

H modules are used to connect radiators with integrated valves

to the circuit. In conjunction with single regulating valves, Comap

provides lockshields with accurate Kv setting capability. Setting the

lockshield is crucial to balance the installation, and ensure the ra-

diator valve works at a good authority. Distributors are a fast and

elegant way of connecting the radiators to the supply.

The heat supply is always on the side of the taper sleeve and the return on the outside of the distributor. There are two exceptions to this rule:Theone-pipedistributorref.538CIwhichhasinvertedflowdirection The universal one-pipe distributor ref. 638The pipe ref 439T is supplied separately. With a length of 1.1m for the liaison tube it is possible to connect:2 radiators with a centre to centre of 600mm.3 radiators with a centre to centre of 400mm.
