Havern School provides a specialized education program for elementary and middle school students with diagnosed learning disabilities.

Utilizing a 4:1 student to staff ratio, master teachers, occupational therapists, and speech/language pathologists provide a comprehensive program of intervention services.

Our ultimate goal is to create confident learners who will continue to achieve success beyond Havern School.

Havern School is a nationally recognized community of professionals, parents, families, and friends working together to address the individual academic, social, and emotional needs of our students.

    2014 -15 Alumni AchievementAward

    JOSH BEZDEK

    Honors and Awards

We are proud to award the 2014-15 Alumni Achievement Award to Josh Bezdek.

Josh attended Havern School from Kindergarten through third grade. He says that Havern helped him learn because it was “hands-on, with smaller group sizes. (Havern) also had plenty of fun educational ways to keep my attention.”

Josh is currently a freelance front-end web developer. He created and helped maintain Havern School’s website, donating much of his time. Josh is the brother of Maria Cunningham, Havern’s digital classroom instructor.

Josh and his wife Elizabeth love to travel and have been to Central America, Eastern Africa, and South East Asia. Josh continues to be excited by the internet and the technologies that drive it.

We believe that students with learning disabilities...

    • Can and want to learn• Develop self confidence from academic success• Benefit from small group instruction and a structured,

consistent, multi-sensory approach• Can become effective self-advocates• Benefit from a strong school and family partnership
