A message from the superintendent...
Dear Parents and Community,
It is my privilege to welcome all of you to the 2014-15 school year. We have exciting opportunities planned for our students, and we hope you will be an active part of their educational experience this year. Arkadelphia Public Schools is proud to announce the summer completion of the new AllCare Field at Badger Stadium. Because of our supportive parents, business partners and school board, our students and community will benefit from this state-of-the-art playing surface for years to come. In addition, we are pleased to welcome several new students and their families to Arkadelphia Public Schools this year. It is with great pride that we welcome you to our community!
We are dedicated to preparing all of our students for the future. From our nationally recognized early childhood programs to our ongoing focus on STEM and career education, our team is continuously raising the bar so that our vision of excellence and quality will be realized. Our hopes and dreams will only be accomplished through a culture of collaboration and shared commitment. These collaborative partnerships continue to build a strong school-community and are the cornerstone of our success.
Our team looks forward to another year of exciting learning experiences and academic achievements for our students. We are also anticipating first-rate extracurricular events as our students exhibit their skills and talents through athletics, the arts and other special activities. It is our privilege to nurture the “whole child” as we help our young people achieve and succeed.
It is with great honor and pride that I serve our schools and community in this capacity. Please join us as a partner for the upcoming school year as we work to make it one of our best. My wish for all of our stakeholders is that the upcoming term will be a year of increasing achievement and rewarding involvement in your school and community.
Sincerely,
Dr. Donnie WhittenSuperintendent
