The City of Gold Coast operates three landfills, 14

waste and recycling centres and provides waste

management services to more than 500,000

residents and 11 million visitors each year. During

2011‐12 we managed 603,000 tonnes of waste,

of which 255,000 tonnes was recycled or re‐used.
