Prospection What might happen? Create “forward views” or “images of the

future” We cannot know the future, and therefore

we have to envision and subsequently create it.

Purpose: To generate some alternative futures.

The Patron

What’s his ‘call to adventure’?

A missing archetype…

The bridges between… 1. Ownership and Members. The bridge between is freedom. Hubbers are free agents and they enact their agential freedom and identify with, and own, their individual and collective actions. They live a freedom of self enfolded within larger collective fields of freedom.

2. Members and Structure. The bridge between is wisdom. Hubbers enact wise choice. Within the field of choice, wise action is clarified and catalysed. Their agency and intentional structures catalyse novel solutions to seemingly impossible problems.

3. Structure and Ownership. The bridge between is hope. Hubbers create their futures within varieties of fields of hope. As owners of their futures, they write the script, build the scaffolds, and create the structures that enable the realisation of hopeful futures.

Visioning A vision is a compelling, inspiring

statement of a preferred future which we want to create.

Imagine new, completely different futures from today.

But not how to create these… Opens up a creative space free from

constraints.

Output

The output phase is the most visible part of the Generic Foresight Process to the general public…

… if more people can be attracted and tempted by well-designed and thought-provoking output from foresight processes, more people will think about and act on their preferred futures.
