The Second week of Misra 2013

Luke 5:27-39

∗ Tomorrow we celebrate the feast of transfiguration Happy feast.

∗ Why Jesus was transfigured? And why in front of only three of His

disciples?

∗ 1 Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his

brother led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He

was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and

His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses

and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter

answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if

You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one

for Moses, and one for Elijah."

∗ With the Transfiguration our Lord wanted to uncover part of His

Glory to His disciples and His believers afterwards. Being God He

took a flesh to complete our salvation. His divinity was hidden by

the flesh so people and also His disciples thought that He is a

prophet may be a great prophet so Jesus wanted to uncover part of

His Glory that He is going to take back after salvation is

completed.

∗ Those three were chosen for a reason Peter for his faith and

loyalty to The Lord and he is the one who said: You are The

Christ the son of God and maybe he was the oldest among the

disciples.

∗ James was going to be the first martyr among the disciples

∗ As for John for his virginity and purity he is the one know as the

disciples that Jesus loved. And he was the youngest and the last to

die from the disciples and the last witness He took three because

according to the law the testimony of two or three witnesses;

نحتفل غدا بعيد التجلى فكل سنة وانتم طيبين ∗

الي�ه ال�سيد الم�سيح ام�ام ث&ث�ة م�ن ت&مي�ذه المق�ربين؟ ولم�اذا تجل�ىتجلىاللماذا ∗ ولماذا امام ھؤ/ء الث&ثة بالذات؟

وبعد ستة أيام أخذ يسوع بطرس ويعقوب ويوحن�ا أخ�اه وص�عد بھ�م إل�ى جب�ل ∗�ردين ��ال منف��ارت 2. ع��شمس وص��ه كال��اء وجھ��دامھم وأض��ه ق��رت ھيئت� وتغي

فجع�ل 4. وإذا موسى وإيليا قد ظھرا لھم يتكلم�ان مع�ه 3. يابه بيضاء كالنور ث فإن ش�ئت ن�صنع ھن�ا ث�Zث ! يا رب جيد أن نكون ھھنا«: بطرس يقول ليسوع

ان�ه مج�رد ان�سانا او نب�ى كأح�د ا/نبي�اء - ومعھ�م الت&مي�ذ-بناسوته فظن�ه الن�اسبد ان يكشف لھم عن طبيعته ويظھر لھم حقيق�ة /ھوت�ه خاص�تا وان�ه ق�د فكان /

اقترب ميع�اد انتھ�اء مھمت�ه عل�ى ا/رض واقترب�ت س�اعة ص�لبه وموت�ه /تم�ام الفداء فاراد المسيح ان يريھم جزء من مج�ده ال�ذى تخل�ى عن�ه وال�ذى سي�سترده

بعد انتھاء مھمته وقيامته من ا/موات
