THE PURPOSE OF THE ELECTION COMMITTEE IS TO PLAN AND CONDUCT EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE POLLING PROCEDURES FOR THE VOTING DELEGATES OF TOP LADIES OF DISTINCTION, INCORPORATED AND TOP TEENS OF AMERICA.

VOTER CHECK-IN•Eligible Voters are to arrive outside the Voting Room (Republic) during the hours the Polls are open. •While waiting in line to check-in and to vote, order and quiet are to be maintained.

• There will be no loitering or campaigning within or in the surrounding area of the Voting Room.•Eligible Voters must be verified and sign-in at the Voter Check-In tables. Voters will receive a voting slip for numerical control which must be turned in before proceeding to a voting machine.

•Voters are requested to follow the directions of the Election Committee Members serving as Monitors and conducting Voter Check-In. •An Alternate for a Chapter Delegate appearing at the Polls must be duly authorized to vote for an absent Delegate.

•There will be a separate Voter Check-In station for National Officers and other Members of Parliamen-Top, and stations for each TLOD Area for Chapter Delegates.

•Depending upon the number of Election Committee Members and on the number of eligible voters, some Voter Check-In stations may be split and/or others consolidated.

BALLOTING

•The initial display on the touch screen will welcome and ask the Voter to touch the start “button” to access the ballot.

•The “screen page” will turn and the first position to be voted will appear at the top of the page.

•On the “screen page” will be the list of candidate names for that position or an indication that “There are no candidates for the office at this time”.

• THE VOTER WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO “GO BACK” TO A PRIOR “SCREEN PAGE” UNTIL THE ENDING “THANK YOU SCREEN” IS DISPLAYED.

•A vote is cast by touching the “button” for the desired candidate.

•The Voter touches the “continue button” to go to the next “screen page” for the next candidate position.

•Seven touch screens will be available for voting-at least one will be reserved for the members of Parlia men Top. Consultants of Touch Poll of Georgia will be in the Voting Room to answer any questions that may arise on the use of the equipment.

•The computer will then register the ballot and accumulate the votes.

BALLOTING

•The Touch Poll Consultants will produce consolidated voting results from all machines. Winners will be determined as the candidates in each position that received the highest number of votes.

•After the Polls close, Election Committee Members will verify the total number of voters.

•The election results will be announced at the designated time during Plenary Session IV on Wednesday, June 19th.

•The official report of election results will be given to the TLOD National Election Committee Chair and or a Co-Chairman.
