    Beginning with the spring 2013 administration,students were assessed on the new MCA-IIIReading Standards which represent the MNadoption of the Common Core English languagearts standards in their entirety. Results between2012 and 2013 are therefore not directlycomparable.

    Compared to the MCA-II in 2012, MPS saw a 15point decrease in proficiency overall on the newMCA-III Reading Standards in 2013
