Logistics Manager

Replaces existing need for cron + scripting with native graph scheduling and monitoring functionality

All functionality exposed via Web Services APIs, allowing invocation from other application management tools (e.g. Control-M)

Reference UI implementation included with the release provides a Web-based interface for using functionality

Auto-Update Communication

Replaces manual notification of new release availability with automated notification (and optional installation) of new software as it is released– Especially important with rapid-release LAL program (i.e. new nodes)

Foundation for other planned communication features for future releases– Auto-submission of product usage patterns, to aid in prioritization of new

features

– Streamlined submission of error reports to Lavastorm Support, replacing current manual process

What’s Planned For LAL 3.0?

LAL 3.0 aligned with LAE 5.0 - starting at 5.1, new nodes will only be released via LAL 3.x and will only be compatible with LAE 5.x

Current plan has the following nodes slated for 2014 Q2

LAL roadmap intentionally left very flexible, allowing us to react to market conditions or specific customer requirements in an agile fashion

Interface Analytics Utility

LAE 5.0 Benefit Summary

Logistics Manager simplifies deployment and maintenance of automated applications, increments toward cloud enabled platform

Error Management Improvements leverage growing Lavastorm user community to build knowledge base and accelerate time to productive use

Tour Guides enable new class of users to perform complex analyses which they could not themselves construct, accelerate reuse of sophisticated analytical nodes

Auto-Update Installer ensures that new functionality is always in the users’ hands, especially important for frequent LAL release cycle; silent installation simplifies enterprise client administration

Platform Support Updates keep pace with adoption of new hosting environments, especially department-level (i.e. Windows server)
