April 22, 2013 Reference: Resident Curb Replacement Notification 2013 Bristol Township Milling & Paving Project Bristol Township, Bucks County, PA Dear Resident: Please be advised that the following roads are scheduled to be paved this year: Barberry Lane Bentwood Lane Birch Drive Boulder Lane Broadcast Lane Daffodil Lane Dahlia Road Daisy Road Darkleaf Road Deep Green Road Dewberry Road Disk Lane Golden Turn Road Grand Pine Road Grapevine Road Greenbriar Road Heather Lane Holly Drive Honeysuckle Lane Jade Road Junewood Road Magnolia Drive Mallow Lane Maple Lane Marion Avenue Mayflower Road Meadow Lane Merry Turn Michahill Road Mill Bend Road Mill Drive Mistletoe Lane Mulberry Lane Myrtle Lane Peony Road Pine Avenue Plumbtree Turn Prunewood Road Pumpkin Hill Road Sexton Lane Starlight Lane Strawberry Lane This road work is tentatively scheduled to begin on or about JUNE 3, 2013 While inspecting the roads referenced in the above list, it has come to our attention that some of the existing curbs have completely deteriorated and should be replaced. If you are considering replacing your curbs, now is the time to do it. Once the road has been paved, Bristol Township will not permit the road to be excavated for any reason, other than an emergency, for a period of five (5) years. We have attached a curbing specification for the removal and replacement of concrete curbs. If you choose to have your curbing replaced, please be sure that your Contractor is aware of the following items: Capping of the existing curb will not be permitted; Contractors are required to use curb forms for the full depth of the curb (18”) on both the front and back faces of the concrete curb; The road restoration along the face of the curb must be done in accordance with the provided detail and must match the existing road grade; The Contractor must complete the curb replacement prior to June 3, 2013. The Contractor will be issuing notifications to Residents a few days prior to milling and paving each road listed above. During construction, Residents are not permitted to park their vehicles on the street. If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Strong in Public Works at 215-785-2758.
