Bible it also can be an expression ofGods love. In contrast the Lord was

angry with the nations that hadadded to the calamity of the divinediscipline by going too far in their

harsh treatment of captives.

that serves as a reservoir of oil.The bowl symbolizes the fullness of

Gods power through His Spirit.The abundant light, a symbol ofGods abiding presence, which

dispels all darkness.

Just as the olive oil is conducteddirectly from the trees to the bowl of

oil at the top of the lampstandwithout any human agency, so thepower that comes from God is

constant and sufficient and alsoneeds no human agency.
