1. Organizaciją „British Basketball“ labai papiktino gruodžio mėnesį visomis sporto šakomis besirūpinančios „UK Sports“ priimtas sprendimas. Internete buvo sukurta peticija, ją pasirašyti skatino Popsas Mensah-Bonsu ir kiti. „UK Sports“ sprendimas buvo pavadintas trumparegiškumo ženklu (a sign of short-termism), o P. Mensah-Bonsu pareiškė, kad jam „skaudu galvoti, kad 4 pastarieji metai gali nueiti šuniui ant uodegos“.

7. Vienas NBA krepšininkas — Detroito „Pistons“ gynėjas Vinnie Johnsonas — turėjo išskirtinę pravardę, kokios tikriausiai neturi niekas kitas sporto pasaulyje. Šią pravardę sugalvojo Danny Ainge'as, taip pagerbdamas savo varžovą.

Anot D. Ainge'o, V. Johnsonas turėjo išskirtinę savybę ypatingai greitai užsivesti aikštėje ir per trumpą laiką pridaryti begalę nemalonumų varžovams.

Johnson’s moniker came from Celtics guard Danny Ainge who commented in the locker room, “If that guy in Chicago is the ‘Refrigerator’ then Vinnie Johnson is the ‘???????’. He sure heated up in a hurry.”

Thanks to Ainge, Johnson had a nickname that would stick the rest of his career.

Jamesas Foote'as - On March 8, 2012, Foote was called up to the NBA by the New Orleans Hornets. In his first game for the Hornets on March 9th Foote scored four points and had four rebounds. He would appear in three more games that season but would not score another point.

Miltas Palacio - In a seven-year NBA career, from 1999 to 2006, Palacio has played for the Vancouver Grizzlies, Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz, with a career scoring average of 4.8 points per game.

Patrickas O'Bryantas - Center was selected out of Bradley University by the Golden State Warriors with the 9th overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft. He has been a member of the NBA's Warriors, Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors.

Cezary Trybanskis - signed a 3-year contract worth $4.8 million with the Memphis Grizzlies on July 22, 2002. He became the first Polish-born player to appear in an NBA game on November 15, 2002 in a six-minute debut. He played a total of 22 NBA games with the Memphis Grizzlies, the Phoenix Suns, and the New York Knicks from 2002 to 2004.
