    Over the past decade of war, TCCC has expanded from SOF i nto the conventional mili tary

    population and is now considered the standard of care for pre-hospital trauma care on

    the battlefield. This session will discuss new developments and recommendations to the

    TCCC guidelines.

    During Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SAD) the chances of survival decrease by 7 to 10

    percent for every minute that goes by without defibrillation. This session will discuss

    recommendations for preventing death related to SAD by implementing a comprehensive

    plan including the use of AEDs.

    The key to preventing Brain Lost and possibly death during a TBI event is to detect brainhematoma at the site of injury within the golden hour. This refers to the period following

    head trauma when pre-hospital analysis is needed to rapidly assess the neurological

    condition of a victim. This session will introduce new technology that provides a practical

    solution for the early detection of intracranial hematomas.

    Introducing and utilizing efficient sources and uses of energy will drastically reduce both

    the cost of consumption and the physical risk to the warfighter ultimately allowing

    energy consumption in the military to become lighter, faster, and cleaner. Explore

    alternative energy sources and energy efficient products and procedures for the future

    warfighter. Topics will include capability enhancement, waste mitigation and cost

    reduction for individual soldier power systems and expeditionary energy support.
