Design Information (Very Important)
Project Name:System of Measuring Pulse Oximeter with
Monitoring via Internet
MCU Part Number: Stellaris ARM Cortex M3
Design Briefing (250 - 500 words):
Our design is the equipment used in the hospital. This has three
main functions; measuring data, monitoring via the Internet and
storing the data as patient record.
In measurement, our design will support three kinds of data.
The first one is heart rate while the second is Pulse Oximeter.
Room temperature is also attached to measurement. The design

also supports the alarming and warning mode. This will tell the
patient whether their health is good or bad.
After measurement, these data will be displayed in the LCD of
the center. Meanwhile, our design also supports uploading
these data to the webserver. Thanks to this, doctor can monitor
data of patient through the Internet or just LAN network. In the
webserver, we also support many extra tools for doctor to
conveniently manage the measurement.
Our design also supports memory to store the information of
patient. The format of the data includes name of doctor and
patient, date of measurement and all measured data of patient.
When needed, doctor or patient can easily review the measured
data.
The design can be divided into two parts. The first part is the
base which is connected to the internet to support webserver.
The second part is measure device which has function ofmeasuring all data above. These two parts are connected by two
module of wireless. The module will transmit all data from one
side to other and vice versa.
Moreover, if time is possible, we improve the multi channels of
measurement. This means doctor can monitor the measuring
data of many patients at the same time.
In the plan of designing, we propose to choose the kit Stellaris
Cortext M3 LM3S8962 because of its supported features. With
LM3S8962, we can easily control Ethernet, memory and soon. In

the measurement, we can reference an application of TI Pulse
Oximeter.In wireless network, we use two modules D-MI32.
