While each of the Faculty’s four Schools has its own vibrant set of research priorities and activities, the Faculty is strongly committed to fostering interdisciplinary research that draws on the knowledge and expertise of our staff and postgraduate research students across different fields of study to help address real-world problems at the community, national and international level. Through an emphasis on research teams and collaborative research programs with a range of government, industry, university and community partners, we work to create new knowledge and find novel solutions for a wide variety of contemporary issues and concerns.

The Faculty is active in promoting a vital and dynamic research culture for its postgraduate research students–thenextgenerationofknowledgeproducerswhowillmakearealandlastingdifferencein the world. Through our seminar programs, discipline and inter-discipline-based supervision teams, and innovative support and engagement programs for postgraduate researchers, we are able to offer an environment in which highly specialised study and research takes place alongside exposuretoabroadanddiverserangeofknowledgeandproblem-solvingskillsthathelp new researchers to get started and keep going as they move through their research degrees.

ThisGraduateProgramwillincreaseyourskillbasetoencompassnewandemergingcommunicationtechnologies.Youwilldevelopstrongpracticalskillsthatwillbeenhancedthroughthestudyofthecritical elements of multimedia and communication theory, research and project development.
