Goal: Develop and practice important life skills that increase achievement for all students

Weekly PBIS/IB lessons

Lessons based on the 8 Key/IB Learner Profilemonthly focus

Academic Planning - Tuesday

Goal: Develop and strengthen planning and organization skills that help all students succeed in all classes

Students meet in grade-level groups, review a quarterly calendar with dates of upcoming summative assessments and prepare for upcoming projects/assessments

Organize binder/agenda

Team Building - Wednesday

Goal: Develop collaboration skills, build and strengthen teacher and student relationships and have fun

Weekly class team building lessons

Weekly lessons based on the 8 Key/IB Learner Profile monthly focus

Quarterly league activities

Discussion Groups – Thursday

Goal: Develop collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills while strengthening student relationships

Facilitate weekly discussion groups with a collaboration goal in mind

Discussion starters based on the 8 Key/IB Learner Profile monthly focus

Mini Conferences – Bi-quarterly

Goal: Develop goal-setting abilities, encourage ownership of learning and strengthen student-teacher relationships

Students set Quarterly Short-term Academic S.M.A.R.T. goals

Teachers provide positive support by listening and helping to problem solve
