Canajoharie: Winslow Homer, George Inness, Robert Henri, and Thomas Hart Benton are just a few of the American artists on display at the award-winning Arkell Art Museum. Schoharie: A church that became a Revolutionary War stockade, a one-room schoolhouse, a Greek Revival home, and a historic Dutch barn are just a few things that make The Stone Fort Museum Complex well worth visiting. 30. Vendors: Amazing artisanal food and craft vendors will be set up town-wide. Be sure to visit all of their fantastic booths and bring home a piece of traditional craftmanship. And stop by the Ommegang Biergarten in the Roseboro courtyard to sample award-winning beers. Purchases can be safely stored for the day at the Package Pick-up table across from the American Hotel.

1. The Beekman 1802 Mercantile. Open 10-6 every day. Browse through all the Beekman merchandise - straight from the farm & selected local craftspeople.

2. The American Hotel & Restaurant. Doug and Garth invite you to drop in all weekend for lunch 11:30-3, Sat/Sun, drinks at the bar 11:30am-closing, or for the Harvest Feast (6pm. Ticketed event, sold out, check in-person for cancellations.)

3. Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook Launch & Signing at the American Hotel. Fri-Sun, 4:30 - 6pm only. Be the first people in the country to purchase the Beekman 1802 Heirloom Cookbook. Josh and Brent will be on hand for signing.

4. Two Harvest Blessings. Sat. 9am, Sun 10pm. On Sat., Sharon Springs’ five parishes invite you to take part in a multi-denominational, historic Harvest Blessing Service with song. On Sun., a traditional Mohawk Thanksgiving Blessing will be recited. Both are held outdoors in Chalybeate Park.

Public Parking. Shuttles will run from each parkinglot into the center of the village.

5. The Black Cat Cafe. Sharon Springs’ local gathering place, famous for “gourmet down home” breakfasts and lunches. A must-visit. Don‘t forget their amazing homemade desserts!

6. Cobbler & Co. Shoppers the world over have signed the walls at this spectacular gift shop styled like an old general store. A wide selection of one-of-a-kind gifts. (See if you can spot any famous autographs on the wall.)

7. The Village Hall Gallery. A beautiful collection of contemporary art and gifts in a historic setting. On display: “Homage to Harvest” photo contest. Also, Michael Whaling will be signing his book, “The Wall at Beekman Farm” here on Sat. from 1-3pm, and Sun. from 11-noon.

8. McGillycuddy’s Naturals. Handmade soaps and beauty products, with natural ingredients. Artisanal products at their best. Be sure to say “hi” to famous “Soap-maker Deb.”

9. The Finishing Touch. It’s all about style here, with fashion, home decor, and one-of-a-kind gifts. The wide selection of well-curated items is why this store has developed a true cult following. Special Harvest Festival discounts.

10. Spring House Spa. Finally! A spa in our spa town. Owned and operated by a massage therapist from NYC’s famous Mandarin Oriental Spa. All natural products. Special autumn aromatherapy treatments. Call early for appt. 518.284.2400.

11. 204 Main Bar & Bistro. Officially opening October 2011, but stop by this weekend to sample some of their modern twists on classic dishes.

12. Walking Tours at The Sharon Springs Historical Museum Complex. Tour the village on foot with expert guides who’ll tell you the behind-the-scenes history of this important spa town.
