2011| 2012 COMMUNITY AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS The Memphis Symphony Orchestra inspires and educates our community through music, providing 700,000 musical experiences each year throughout the Mid-South. While many people know us through our performances at the Cannon Center, Germantown Performing Arts Center and other venues, we create meaningful experiences for our community in multiple ways that extend well beyond the concert hall. The MSO serves over 30,000 students annually through our education programs and engages over 75,000 people through a variety of community events and performances. Our WKNO broadcasts reach an estimated 15,000 people a week across the Mid-South and MSO ensembles reach thousands of travelers during the MSO at the Airport performances. MSO musicians play an active and essential role in developing and delivering our education and community engagement programs. These programs reflect their unique abilities and talents.
