“Awkward” is our updated “Exposed—thenaked truth about puberty” curriculum.Awkward gets parents and their studentstalking about all the changes that aregoing on and how to deal with them. Joinus at Awkward as we start the conversa-tion.

Awkward meets the first 4 Thursdaynights in October from 6- 8 p.m. in theFamily Ministry Centerstarting Oct 4th from 6 - 8 p.m.Please RSVP to Pastor [email protected] if you are planning onattending and as always you can invite oreven bring friends and families from yourneighborhood.

We offer Awkward every other year, so ifyou think that your 5th grade student is

not ready for this then no worries, sev-enth grade is not too late. If you feel thatyour student already knows everything‘cause they are in 8th grade (and maybethey do) and they do not want to come, well, they really do need to be there. Wepull the older students aside for deeperdiscussions about what to expect in highschool.

Now remember, Awkward is designedaround getting stu-dents and parentstalking aboutthese funny andawkward sub-jects, so atleast one orboth parentsmust be inattendancewith them.Grandparentsare also welcome tojoin the discussion.

this is soooo... Awkward! The exposed truth about puberty andother icky stuph parents don’t wanna talkabout!
