The FortCampbell Veterinary Treatment Facility is not a full-service veterinary clinic. Pets that require full-servicecare are required to be seen off post by a community veterinarian. Registration: Pets are required to be licensed both on and off post. It is mandatory for all pets on post tobe registered at the Veterinary Treatment Facility. All cats and dogs on post must be micro-chipped andcurrent on all required vaccinations. Please check with veterinary services for more information. Animal Control: All pets on post must be kept under control at all times. Pets must be kept indoors orsecured on the owner’s premises. Animals kept outdoors must be provided shelter, fresh water, andfood. Owners keeping animals under inhumane conditions may be refused the right to keep animals onpost. Pets are available for adoption to active duty military, retired service members and civilians.

Patrons can do it themselves or get assistance from one of the on-sitetraining instructors who will help you every step of the way. Another option for those willing tolearn is the basic automotive and brakes classes taught by certified professionals, where youreceive hands-on training in a group setting. There are specialty tools, flat and lift bays available foryour use. Common repairs performed at the Auto Skills Center include oil changes, tire balancingand rotating, axle and clutch work, A/C repairs and coolant services. If repairs take longer thananticipated, the Auto Skills Center offers short term storage.

Let Turner Army Lodging be your home away from home whileyou transition from one installation to another. Turner ArmyLodging provides 135 rooms equipped with microwaves,refrigerator, laundry facilities and cable television. First priority for occupancy is given to incoming/outgoing PCS

personnel and their Family members, ie. parents, in-laws andgrandparents. Reservations for incoming/outgoing personnel may

be made 60 days in advance. All others can make reservations 14 days in advance provided space is available. The Turner Army

Lodging is operational seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All ranks/grades may stay in lodgingfacilities. Pet rooms are available for PCS personnel, however they are very limited.

Dale Wayrynen Community Recreation Center, better known as D.W. Rec., has all the comforts ofhome just waiting for you to enjoy. D.W. Rec. is a home away from home for Fort Campbell Soldiers.With music rooms, game room, auditorium, TV areas, there is always something for everyone to enjoy.Recreational activities include chess, billiards, table tennis, air hockey, cards, foosball, wide screen television, musical equipment, TVs with VCR or DVD and video games (Playstation 1 & 2, Nintendo 64,PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii). The recreation center houses an auditorium with a seating capacity of 250.On weekends, special activities take place. These special programs include post-wide contests, talentshows, crafts classes, baby contests, plays, cookouts, and special dinners with a movie, variety shows,and ethnic programs. D.W. Rec. also has a computer lab with internet access for all authorized users.Additionally, the recreation center offers units and other organizations facilities for training, ceremonies,support group meetings, and other functions. Reservations must be made in advance through the director. Use of the facilities for holiday parties is based on a drawing held in late summer. Whether youwant to relax and play a game of pool or host your next unit meeting at our facility, D.W. Rec. is here toserve you and all of your recreational needs.

The Main Office is the central location for Outdoor Recreation at Fort Campbell. Here you will check in for the RV Park and Campgrounds, pavilion rentals, hunting, fishing, paintball, adventure programs, and any other outdoor activities. There is also a small

store for basic supplies and snacks. We have more than 62,000 acres for hunting, fishing and otherrecreational activities. For the hunter, Fort Campbell offers both big and small game hunting.Before getting started, all hunters must have a valid hunting license from Kentucky or Tennesseefor the game they intend to hunt and a Fort Campbell post permit. Everyone must also have proofof attendance at an approved hunter safety course. Hunting is truly a Family sport, but remember,you must be at least 10 years of age to participate. So whether you are hunting quail, rabbit, deer,squirrel or raccoon on Fort Campbell, always check with Outdoor Recreation before venturingout with your area assignment. We also have an outstanding archery range for you to sharpen yourskills or just enjoy during a break. Archery instruction is available by one of the best instructors inthe business. Whether you are just getting started or are a seasoned pro looking to improve, giveOutdoor Recreation a call and set up an archery lesson you will truly appreciate.

More of an angler than a hunter? Fort Campbell offers two lakes, two stocked troutstreams, and numerous beaver ponds for your fishing pleasure. Children can castaway on the kiddie pond, open to all children 12 and under, or theyouth/handicap accessible pond, for those 17 and under, where no permit is required. All other fishing locations require a Kentucky orTennessee fishing license. For the die-hard fisherman, the most common fish found on Fort Campbell are bass, bluegill, crappie, catfish and trout. So grab your tackle box and head on over to the Outdoor Recreation Main Office where your fishing adventure awaits!

During the year, Outdoor Recreation offers adventure trips tovarious locations for whitewater rafting, skiing, and other exciting activities.If you are looking for that high adrenaline activity, this is definitely the thing for you. Other outdooradventures for all to explore include, but are not limited to hiking, mountain biking, caving, climbing, and camping.

For those with traveling homes, better known as RVs, Fort CampbellOutdoor Recreation offers two RV parks which offer electric, water, and

sewer hook-ups. Eagle’s Rest Campground offers 24 sites and canaccommodate 30 and 50 amp electrical hook-ups. For those lookingfor a pull through RV site, Fletcher’s Fork Campground offers 20and 50 amp electrical hook-ups. Restroom, shower and laundryfacilities are available on-site, as well as a centrally located dump station for use. Reservations are required for cabins and pavilions,

but RV sites are first come first serve. Are you afraid of bugs and animals? Enjoy the outdoors while still

having all the comforts of home at the cabins,cottages, and deluxe cabins located at Fort

Campbell Outdoor Recreation. There are eight buildings which offera double bed, a set of bunk beds, table, two chairs, small refrigerator, and small microwave. The four cabins come with afront porch swing for loved ones to cuddle up and relax. Thereare three new deluxe cabins which offer all the same amenities as the cabins and cottages with the addition of a bathroom in thecabin. We also offer four pavilions that will accommodate mostany size group. No matter what your recreational needs may be,Fort Campbell Outdoor Recreation has an activity for every memberin your Family.

Come out and experience thesights and sounds of nature as you hit the open trail for a guided trail ride. Before your riding adventure, the Stables offer a few friendly tips: 1. Dress appropriately. Each rider must wear long pants, a shirt with sleeves (no halters, tank

tops or spaghetti strap shirts) and closed toe shoes for their safety. 2. Safety first. All first time riders will be required to watch a brief video covering safety while riding.

Helmets will be required for all riders.3. We ask that a parent or guardian accompany all children 10 and older on the guided trail rides.Little ones not old enough to participate in the guided trail rides can jump on a pony for a ride alltheir own. The Stables asks that one parent be present for each pony rented. Ponies are also available for birthday parties at the stables; horses and ponies can be rented for unit functions andspecial events. Fort Campbell Riding Stables offers both stall and pasture boarding for all eligiblepatrons. The facilities consist of 2 barns with 27 stalls (stalled horses can beturned out on dry lots for exercise). 35 acres are also available for 25 pasture slots. Full and partial board services are available at an additional cost for stalled horses. For more information and currentboarding prices, please call the Stables office. If riding a horse doesn’t appeal to you, but you’d still like to enjoy nature’sbeauty, sit back and relax on the seasonal hay wagon rides. Fort Campbellalso offers a variety of riding disciplines at our new Equestrian Center. Wehave a 20X60 dressage arena, a 16-jump cross-country course, stadiumjumps, western trail props and 75 miles of trails. The facility also showcasesWestern and English horse shows. Fort Campbell Outdoor Recreation now offers two dog parks on post! Both parks offer a space forsmaller dogs to play and both are open from dawn to dusk. Owners are responsible for their dog andany injuries caused by their dog, dogs must be at least 4 months of age to enter, must wear currentrabies and ID tags at all times, and must be leashed before entering and leaving the fenced area. Dogs inheat, without supervision, dog food, human food, and glass containers are prohibited. Children youngerthan 10 are not allowed in the park; older children must be supervised. Aggressive or potentially aggressive breeds are prohibited, as well as any dog that exhibits: unprovoked barking, growling, snarling,biting or scratching, and/or escaping confinement or restriction to chase people. Always dispose of yourdog's waste in the trash receptacles as accumulation of dog waste on the ground may prompt closure ofthe park. Puppy playtime (4 months and under) is offered in the small dog area at the South Dog Parkfrom 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It is recommended that puppies are current on vaccinations. If your dog is not accustomed to interacting with other dogs, start out by visiting the parkduring non-peak hours. Also, maintain awareness of the activity going on around you as distracted dogsmay not look where they are going.
