are made
Why are Virgin Grade Raw Materials Required? Virgin grade raw materials are critical to making the best quality, longest life, lowest cost flotation that meets all of the Marine Industry Standards. Standards-compliant flotation made with virgin materials is environmentally safe and accepted for green building LEED projects. Flotation encasements (shells) made with properly cured, virgin grade resin have a consistent standard wall thickness, the structural strength to absorb impacts without failing, and a life expectancy of 40 years. Virgin resin is environmentally safe because it meets FDA 21 standards and will not leech chemicals into the water. Virgin EPS foam is best suited to forming a low water absorbing, bead-free and void-free fill when properly pre-expanded and steamed inside a float shell. This solid block of foam adds strength to the float, absorbs less water should a shell be damaged, and eliminates loose EPS beads from escaping the shell and polluting the water.
Don't Trust a Non-Standard Compliant Float! Using non-virgin, off-spec and/or regrind materials for raw materials can negate all of the benefits/values of virgin materials. You'll lose the structural strength to stand up to freeze/thaw cycles & collisions with boats and debris that can cause the outer shell to crack. You might be buying a float that looks great but it is most likely full of pin holes that will start leaking the moment the float is in the water. If the foam fill is incomplete leaving loose beads and unfilled areas inside the shell, your last line of defense against rapid water absorption is gone. Floats made with non-virgin materials can have a very short life expectancy, early failures, are costly to replace resulting in a higher unit cost.
What are the Benefits and Values of Marine Industry Standards Compliance?
ACE Flotation Industry's Highest Quality & Most Reliable
ASTM D1998-04 Falling Dart Impact Test - validates that virgin grade resin is being used - that molding process is complete and properly done - indicates float wall strength meets or exceeds standards - contributes to float 40 year life expectancy 7-Day Hunt Water Absorption Test - foam fill will aid in maintaining buoyancy if float damaged - no waterlogged floats; no sagging or sinking docks - void-free foam supports outer shell walls, adding strength - delivers longer life and lowest float cost
Encasement Wall Thickness Standard - eliminates weak wall floats with early failure potential - provides insurance policy against unnecessary repair costs - ensures floats will hold up to pre and post install abuse - contributes to 40 year expected life Certified, Tank-Tested Buoyancy Ratings - greater accuracy in selecting float sizes and quantities - minimizes costly refloats when design goals not met - eliminates over and under buying of floats - provides true cost of floats based on buoyancy delivered
Properly Cured Outer Wall Made with Virgin Resin Premier floats withstands impacts of 90 ft/bs & higher without cracking or shattering exceeding the ASTM D1998-04
Void-Free, Low Water Absorbing EPS Foam Fill Premier floats consistently measure at less than 1/2 the 3.0 lbs/cuft minimum of the 7-Day Hunt Water Absorption Standard
Certified Tank-Tested Buoyancy Ratings Accurate buoyancy ratings are the only way to avoid the unnecessary costs of over or under buying flotation. All Premier floats are tank-tested and certified.
0.150” Nominal Wall Thickness, Consistent/& Tested No point on a Premier float falls below the 0.125” wall thickness minimum; or it doesn’t ship
USACOE Regulation 33CFR Part 327.30 Compliance Requires 100% non-prorated warranty protection for minimum 8 years against sinking, cracking, fragmenting, loosing beads; puncture and penetration resis-tant. Premier's warranty is 10 years at 100%, 15 years total

15 Year Warranty Exceeds
US Army Corps of Engineers Regulation
ACE ROTO-MOLD (ACE) a division of Den Hartog Industries, Inc. warrants all its manufactured float drums to the original owner against cracking, peeling, sloughing and deterioration from ultra-violet rays, while retaining its resil-iency against bumps by watercraft under normal usage for a period of fifteen years from the proven date of pur-chase. Any float drum thought to be defective must be returned to the manufacturer (prepaid) and judged defec-tive by the manufacturer. All float drums under this warranty are to be F.O.B. Hospers, Iowa. This warranty does not cover any float drum that has been subject to negligence, misuse, alterations, accidents, ice movement, storm abuse or improper installation and support. Failure to follow the “Procedures For Using ACE Float Drums” also voids this warranty. This warranty applies only for the sole purpose of floatation of docks. Other uses will not be honored. ACE’s obligation to the original owner involves the replacement or the repairing of the defective float drum due to poor workmanship or material. This does not include any obligation for consequential or liquidated damages. Whether defective float drums should be replaced or repaired shall be determined at the sole discretion of ACE. Any float determined by ACE to be replaced is covered by its limited warranty, as described above, for the following time period from purchase date by original owner: 100% non-prorated for 10 years; 50% in 11th year; 40% in 12th year; 30% in 13th year; 20% in 14th year; and 10% in 15th year of current. New 15-year warranty effective on purchases after March 10, 2006. Floats purchased prior to March 10, 2006 are covered under the previous 12-year warranty.
Float Encasement Specifications: All units are manufactured from linear virgin polyethylene resin containing UV ray inhibitors and carbon black pigment to protect against ultra-violet deterioration. These resins offer toughness, rigidity, environmental stress crack resistance and low temperature impact performance; and compliance with the FDA title 21(will not contaminate the waterways and is recyclable). All units are rotationally molded for seamless, one-piece construction, with a .150” nominal wall thickness standard on all encasements (see float size chart for variances) Custom wall thicknesses can be specified. All units are resistant to damage by animals, ice, bumps by watercraft and contact deterioration from petroleum products. They are suitable for outdoor use with respect to exposure to ultra-violet light, water exposure, immersion and fire in accordance with the Underwriters Laboratory's class 746C and flame class UL-94HB. The encasements also meet the 7-Day Hunt Water Absorption and exceed the ASTM D1998-04 Falling Dart Impact test. All units will exhibit the following ASTM test methods:

Eight sizes available Boat lift floats are basically large air tanks that can be filled with water to submerge them and then be re-floated by evacuating the water with air pressure. We have eight different sizes available. All floats come with a wall thickness of .375”. Our boat lift floats were designed initially for manufacturers of boat lifts, as a mechanism to raise and lower a lift platform. However, many individuals have used these floats to build their own boat lifts. Also, other inventive applications of these floats have been found by some very creative individuals. As an example, in the Louisiana and Texas areas, floating cabins are common and many are supported by deteriorating raw foam billets and 55 gallon drums. Some of these cabin owners have used square bottom boat lift floats to raise their cabins out of the water far enough to remove the bad raw foam or barrels and replace them with Premier floats. Others have used multiple boat lift floats to supplement or replace existing flotation. The advantage of a boat lift float is that it can be filled with water to sink it enough to move it into position under the cabin frame work. Then, when in position, re-float it to an appropriate level by pumping out the water with air pressure. Boat Lift Design Our boat lift floats come in six sizes with round or square bottom designs. All come with threaded inserts ready for commercial fittings and a large molded-in hole in the bottom for water intake and exhaust. Molded in mounting slots in the top of each float and molded in grooves make attachment to a boat lift frame easy.

Cylindrical Floats For Breakwaters, Barriers & Booms
Breathe new life into tire breakwaters with cylindrical floats from Premier. Build low maintenance barriers and booms. Replace old raw foam flotation with encapsulated floats that are recyclable and environmentally-safe. The breakwater floats have a one-piece LLDPE shell that is filled with EPS foam to provide support buoyancy for tires and barrier frames. The EPS fill is done under steam to ensure a void-free watertight fill. The shell wall thickness is 0.150 inches (nominal) for durability and long-life. The float buoyancy rating is 340 lbs.
Floats meet all industry and regulatory requirements including the Hunt 7-day Water Absorption Test and the ASTM Falling Dart Puncture test.
Marina Builds Tire Breakwater on Lake Mead Breakwaters or wave attenuators are designed to mitigate wave action. And one marina on Lake Mead in Nevada has one of the more unusual designs; it's made of tires and is sup-ported by encapsulated, cylindrical floats. It's a 4-wide tire design—the center has two rows of horizontal tires, and the outer tire rows are arranged vertically. Before being assembled, the 5-1/2' to 7-1/2' tires were spread open with the aid of a crane, and the 24" diameter floats were inserted. Larger tires required three floats for verti-cal rows and six for horizontal rows. Smaller tires had two for vertical and four for horizontal. The breakwater is 390' long and utilizes 228 tires that are secured with 20' lengths of 5/8" chain and 1/2" shackles.

What took 3 hours to complete now takes just 30 minutes.
Start with a 5’ x 36’ dock section ready for decking
You could deck it with (78) 2x6 treated lumber boards. 1) Cut to length, reseal cut, position & space boards 2) Pre-drill 2 holes per stringer/board (6-8/board) 3) Fasten each board to frame (468-624 fasteners) 3 hours later you might be done.
Or use (9) 4 x 5 bestdeck panels and be done in 30 minutes!
The result is a 100% green, 40 year life, virtually maintenance free, slip-resistant deck warranted for 20 years against rotting, cupping, splintering, checking and insect damage.
Now there’s a 40 year life, 100% green, near-zero maintenance decking product
available on a treated lumber budget!

Hybrid Deck Panels Designed for Marinas & Builders 100% Green, 100% Recyclable, Made with 55% Renewable Resources Made from a hybrid blend of 45% recycled plastic and 55% rice hulls (a renewable resource), bestdeckmarine is a better and more environmentally-friendly alternative for marine applications where contact with water is continuous. Rice Hulls - Yes; Wood Fiber - No Rice hulls are nature’s protection for the rice grain. In nature and as part of bestdeckmarine boards, rice hulls are highly resistant to moisture-propagated mold/fungal growth and the constant wet then dry marine conditions that are the primary causes of deterioration of wood and products made with wood fiber. Rice hulls are also a Class A insulating material that is difficult to burn and avoided by rodents and insects. Because it contains rice hulls, recycled plastic and no chemicals common in treated lumber, bestdeckmarine is 100% recyclable. Extended Life Decking with Minimal Maintenance Needs bestdeckmarine’s unique blend of recycled plastic and rice hulls delivers a decking product with a life span far exceeding its 20 year warranty against rot, checking, splintering, splitting or structural damage from termites, insect and fungal decay. UV stabilizers ensure the lasting color of the decking, allowing normal weathering (15% fade) without affecting the structural integrity or safety of a bestdeckmarine surface. And you’ll never have to paint, stain or seal bestdeckmarine panels...ever. Normal maintenance is a periodic power wash. Looks and Feels Like Wood, With Superior Strength bestdeckmarine panels are made with individual 2x6 boards precisely cut, spaced and assembled into lightweight (4 lbs/sqft) flat-back panels. An embossed wood grain finish looks and feels like real wood, but delivers a splinter free surface with 3 times slip resistant of wood and no real wood or wood fiber tannins or maintenance issues. The Coretech I-beam construction provides superior strength to span up to 36”. Bestdeckmarine panels installed on 24” stringer spacing permits live loads in excess of 150 lbs per square foot. Panelized for Easy Installation and Lower Installation Cost bestdeckmarine is available in raw boards in 12’, 16’ and 20’ lengths. But the pre-panelized product will make decking installation easy and cut the labor time by up to 10x over single board products. You could even install bestdeckmarine flat back panels directly over existing and save the cost of removal and disposal of old decking materials. Easy to Install Panels Save Time and Cost Aqua-Dek comes in 2’ x 4’ and 2’ x 3’ panel sizes in either tan or grey. The panels weigh just 8.5 lbs or less so they can be installed at the factory, eliminating on-site installation costs and associated shipping costs. Dock owners can leave panels on all season, even owners that remove their dock for seasonal storage. Builders can save on frame material and construction costs because Aqua-Dek panels are designed for 24” or 18” on center framing. No need for 12“ or 16” on center framing with Aqua-Dek. By eliminating stringers manufacturing cost savings of up to $2.00 per square can be achieved. At stringer spacing of 18” (2x3 panel) or 24“ (2x4 panel), Aqua-Dek maintains its load capacity of 1000 psf. Aqua-Dek panels are also less expensive than similar products. Costs savings of 25% to 51% per square foot can be realized by using Aqua-Dek versus Thru-Flow, Titan or True Harbor. Each panel has nine pre-drilled, countersunk mounting holes to accept #10 or #12 pan head screws. Screws are hand tightened only to allow for slight expansion and contraction due to temperature variations. Each panel has a 1/2” flange on one side that the next panel overlaps to provide a flush walking surface.
Let’s Review The Advantages and Savings - Cost 25% to 51% per square foot less than Thru-Flow, Titan or True Harbor
- Save up to $2.00 per square foot by eliminating excess stringers
- Aqua-Dek needs only 18” (2x3 panel) or 24“ (2x4 panel) on center stringers
- Panels reduce installation time by 50% over 12” wide panels and 10x over single boards or 4x4 panels made from single boards
- Install panels at factory to save shipping costs and on-site labor costs
- Weigh just 8.5 lbs per panel but deliver 1000 psf load capacity
- Non-slip surface that stays cool even in the hot summer sun
- 45% open surface allows sunlight, water and debris to pass thru
- Zero maintenance for dock owner

Aqua-Dek Lightweight Panel Decking System
A Lifetime Surface for Your Dock The expected life of a steel deck panel is 40 to 50 years, far exceeding the 10-20 year life expectancy of other decking materials that will need to be replaced two, three, even four times during a steel deck panel lifetime. Ongoing maintenance with steel decking is near-zero. So steel decking not only protects you against the cost of multiple re-decking projects and regular required maintenance, but it also saves on landfill and recycling charges common with disposal of other decking materials. Designed For Durability, Safety And Comfort At the core of steel decking is 14-gauge virgin steel combined with 35% recycled steel. On its surface is a field-proven, weather resistant PVC coating that is textured to provide an all-season slip resistant deck. Additionally, steel decking panels are perforated for fast run off of surface water, snow and ice; and to dissipate lift pressure from storms and turbulent water action. And the insulating properties of the PVC coating leave the surface cool to bare feet even in the heat of the Arizona sun.
Unmatched Panel Strength With Flexible Panel Sizes Steel decking panels accommodate stringer spans of 24" to 48" on center while providing superior load capacities compared to wood, composite plastic and concrete inserts installed using 12", 16" and 24" on center framing. On 24" centers, it delivers 2915 PSF, with minimal deflection. Steel decking is ideal for fingers and main walkways where foot traffic, push carts and lightweight vehicles comprise the predominant load.
Steel Deck Panels Install 8X Faster Than Other Decking You'll be surprised with how fast your new steel decking panels can be installed. Steel decking can be installed typically in 1/8 the time of traditional decking materials and without the waste common from cutting wood and composite decking. 320 SqFt of steel decking can be installed in one man hour versus eight man hours for equivalent square feet of wood or composite planking, or concrete inserts. Panels can be fastened through pre-drilled, countersunk mounting holes with as few as four TEK screws on steel or aluminum frames. With some dock designs and building code compliance, the panels can be installed without fasteners. In areas with heavy vehicle traffic and loads, fastening is recommended. In either case, it is simple to remove or lift panels to allow easy access to utility runs under the dock. When fastened to your dock frame steel decking can become a strengthening structural member of your old or new dock frame. Panels can also be cut to fit around pilings, roof supports and other obstructions. Any exposed steel edges can then be re-coated using the PVC vinyl patch kit that comes with your steel decking shipment.
Benefit Summary
- 40 to 50 year life cycle… 25 Year Warranty - Near zero maintenance for product life - 8X faster installation than common decking - Panels can install on 24" - 48" centers - Up to 2915 PSF load capacity on 24" centers - Seven standard panel sizes - Lightweight 14 gauge steel, 35% recycled - Slip-resistant PVC coating and perforated

Plastic Dock Wheels for Roll In Dock and Boat Lifts Premier's plastic dock wheels are designed for roll-in docks and boat lifts. Because they are made of heavy duty plastic, they will never wear out; won't rust on the shaft; roll easily on all terrains; will handle even the heaviest docks; and require no maintenance. Forget those trips to the salvage yard for rims and tires and problems matching tires to your rims. Buy plastic dock wheels for your lift and roll-in dock.
"These plastic dock wheels are one of the best ideas I have seen in a long long time! Trying to rig a junkyard wheel and tire to some type of cobbled up axle is a real pain. These things make it very easy, just buy some 1 1/2" galvanized pipe for the axle and come up with a design to attach to your boat lift or dock and you are ready to "roll". They roll very easily and are made of a tough plastic. They should last for years. A truly great idea....." John G - NY State

Sealite Solar Lights SL15 and SL60 1NM and 2NM Visibility
Sealite Compact LED Solar Marine Lights Sealite SL15 and SL60 compact LED marine lights are exceptional values and incorporate some of the most advanced technology available. In the tradition of Sealite lights, the SL15 and SL60 are designed to be maintenance-free and have a service life of over 5 years: up to 12 years with battery replacement. Both can be installed in minutes, once the flash code is set, no operator intervention is required. During daylight hours the solar module will charge the replaceable battery, and the lantern will automatically begin operation at dusk. The SL15 and SL60 feature the Sealite LED 360° Omni-Directional Reflector, which increases the intensity and uniformity of the horizontal output. The tough LEXAN polycarbonate lens is specifically designed for use with LEDs, and has an environment-friendly spike – deterring unwelcome bird life. The unit is sealed using an advanced ultrasonic weld, enabling a rugged water-proof seal capable of prolonged and deep immersion (IP68). The SL60 comes standard with an ON/OFF switch. The SL15 is also available with an optional ON/OFF switch for temporary installations such as work sites. Both the SL15 and SL60 are user programmable for flash codes settings. The program process is manual and does not require a remote control device. The Sl15 support 16 IALA standard flash codes and the SL60 supports the full 256 IALA flash code list.
